If this plays out who is your new head coach? I'm leaning toward Shanahan

I'm okay with him or their former offensive coordinator that was the head coach of the Texans.

Shannahan or Kubiak means Cutler here for the long haul. Just a reality.

He's going to be here for at least 2 years unless they trade him.

I've been mulling over the idea of Greg Schiano recently.

He'd be a culture shock and he has ties to the Bears. I suspect he's learned a few things from his first stint. Might be worth giving another shot.

Todd Bowles or Darrell Bevell ... depends which side of the ball you want to emphasize the next year or two.

Well, when the beloved are getting their asses kicked, we know the opponent's victory formation will not go uncontested, so there's that.

Actually, I read an article where he's taken his time off to re-evaluate how he handled that first run in the NFL. Some of the best NFL coaches currently had less than stellar starts.

Just think how great Trestman will be at the next place.

Schiano had some initial success with a broken-ass organization.

Here's the article -

I claim credit with putting Ken on the Schiano train. However, I was only advocating him for the Illini. Dr. Ken trumped me again by going for Bear.

I'd rather have him for the Illini. I read that he might be in line for the Pitt job here in the next few days.

But, there are so few options if you are looking for a guy with NFL head coaching experience, which is my preference, that isn't just a complete washout. I think he still has something left.

I was familiar with him from watching Ray Rice and Brian Leonard kick the Illini's ass back in the early Ron Zook days.

He's been on the peripheries of the Dr. Ken Radar System.

The more I mull this over, the more I think I'm ready to put the full Dr. Ken Tout Machine behind Schiano for the hire. Harbaugh isn't coming here.

If you consider Schiano's tenure at TB, he took over a shit organization and in year 1 had them at 6-4. He was 7 points away from taking a 4-12, Josh Freeman-led pile of garbage to 10-6 and the playoffs. As it were, they still finished 7-9.

His second year was just a series of oddities from Josh Freeman losing his mind to the entire locker room getting ebola. I think he can be forgiven for that one.

If he can do all that with Josh Freeman, just think what he'll be able to do with David Fales.

I am with you Dr.Ken. I think he could be a good coach for a team on this next go around.

But if Emery is making the pick I just do not see him going that direction.

They were talking on the radio here this morning about him coming to Pitt and his change story.

Gregg. Do not deny him his second G.

Is it bad to say that I really don't care? If its not somebody who has NFL head coaching experience the Bears will likely fuck up the hire anyway.

This season has soured me so much on the Bears, that I don't know if I can bring myself to root for them next year without sweeping and wholesale changes. I wouldn't be necessarily rooting against them, but the past two seasons have been particularly dreadful. I'm not trying to start a pissing match, but if this is what its like to be a Cubs fan, I have no idea how you guys can do it.

Jack Daniels.

This really sums up my feelings. I don't know if there's a hire, even if its Harbaugh, that I will initially think is a home run. They've managed to become more unlikable than the Redskins, which is just amazing.
