What about getting QB Austin Davis? I would deal Cutler to St. Louis for him. Watched him play a couple of times this year, looked pretty sharp when he wasn't getting beat to hell because of his poor O-line. I know toward the end of the season he had a bad game with a few pick sixes, but this was really his first year starting for any length of time in the league. Favre himself said he could be as good as Brady. He did lead St. Louis to a win against Seattle this season.

This is who the Bears need, a young guy (only 25) who can be part of the rebuild and be around for a long time. Has good pedigree - beat Favre's passing record at Southern Miss - and he's been mentored by Favre.

The Bears need as many draft picks as possible to fix this mess. Trading them away for a project QB is not the way to do that.

What in GOF's name makes you think the Rams would take Cutler for anything of value? You can't pay most of the salary like in baseball. Their only choice is to play him or release him.

He does have value, just not with the Bears. Still has a winning record as a starter with a career QB rating close to 90. Physically he is prototypical QB with one of the strongest arms in the league. I would not throw any picks in for dealing Cutler.

St. Louis would have Bradford and Cutler and be comfortable at QB. Bears would get Davis and everyone's happy.

I will agree that Cutler has value, despite all the experts (hub) basically saying you need to contribute for someone to take Cutlers deals. I highly disagree!

Cutlers deal is a great deal for a team that is missing QB play only. Yes, it is $23 mill then $15 mill, then next 2 years, but thats it. So if he doesnt work, you can cut him.

If you have a team like St louis, or like AZ was there, Houston...teams like this have some really good defenses and running games, they need average QB play to be a real playoff team.

Look at Houston. Fitzpatrick is only on a 2 year deal and even when there, he was not special, but take the running game with Foster, then you have JJ and clowney coming back this year....the owner is really looking to win.
