"The Bears, to be fair, proudly participate in one of the lamest rituals known to professional sports. Each day, a couple of minutes before the official end of the team's open-locker-room period, numerous players begin loudly engaging in hyperactive screams that seem to resemble a Tyrannosaurus Rex's mating call (or so I would imagine) -- all overtly designed to bully reporters into ceasing their interviews and leaving immediately. Anyone who fails to comply (and yeah, I was that guy when I visited back in November) is shouted down in increasingly aggressive fashion; a couple of players seemed particularly combative when I told them -- and I paraphrase -- that I'd leave when I was good and ready. This practice, from what I'm told, is condoned by coach Lovie Smith, an otherwise smart man with strong leadership skills."

I have never heard of this before...surprised Laurence Holmes hasn't mentioned something about it on the air?

Old news. Rick Telander called out John Gilmore on this months ago.
