http://www.chicagotribune.com/business/ ... story.htmlStory is a few weeks old,but thought it proves ESPN has a guy on the inside.Keeping things in the Chicago Bears family, new head coach John Fox paid $3.28 million to buy a Lake Forest mansion from retired wide receiver and current WMVP-AM 1000 host Tom Waddle and his wife.
Last week, the Tribune reported on Waddle's sale of the mansion on a 1.8-acre parcel in Lake Forest, which Waddle bought for $3.25 million in 2010.
Fox, 60, signed a four-year deal in January to be the Bears' head coach.
Public records show that an Illinois limited liability company whose manager is Fox's wife, Robin Militello, bought the Lake Forest mansion.
Built in 2008, the lannon stone and wood house has seven baths, custom white oak floors, wainscoting, coffered ceilings, millwork, a first-floor master suite, four en-suite bedrooms, a butler's pantry, a finished lower level with a home theater and a second kitchen, a wine tasting room, an exercise room and a four-car garage. Outside are terraces and an outdoor grill.
Meanwhile, Waddle paid $2.15 million for an 8,000-square-foot five-bedroom house in Lake Forest.
Waddle's three-story mansion, built in 2002, has six baths, five fireplaces, 10-foot ceilings, 8-foot doors, hardwood floors, wainscoting, skylights, a grand foyer with a double staircase, and a kitchen with two islands and premium appliances. The 1.82-acre parcel features a pool, two patios and an outdoor fireplace.
Real estate agent Debra Vargas, who represented Waddle, declined to comment.
