Go to go back to 2010 for last Bears playoff appearance.

Even that season seemed like a dream with the Packers beating us on the final game of the year, then Caleb Hanie being the only shot. yeah, he scored a late TD that showed the glimmer of hope, but that might be the highlight of the last 10 years of football in Chicago. Since 2006, that 2010 Playoff game was it....10 years and 1 playoff game is a notch above Cleveland and Detroit...

And to be clear...we are in the Cleveland / Detroit grouping as far as organizations go!

if the Bidwells can build a great organization, no reason the McFamily cant.

No wonder Nas likes George Bush so much: his administration was the last time the Bears made the playoffs on a regular basis!

Missing the playoffs after a 10-6 season and the reaction that followed set this franchise way back.

I thought they should have tried to get one last year out of Lovie and his people, and if it failed miserably, great place to start over. I mean, really, they should have fired Lovie after three straight misses in 2009, but then they doubled down with that "make changes while keeping continuity" crap. Man, the Bears make a lot of dumb decisions.

As a yute, there was always some crazy chance the Bears would make the playoffs. Cards win, Cowboys lose, Giants lose by 88 and we are in!

These last 5 years of being eliminated by week 10 is about as bad as you can get in the NFL

agreed. These have been some rough years in Chicago sports, other than the Blackhawks who don't really count.
