Looks like Cutler will have a new excuse why he will have a bad 2016 season...

I was really surprised how decent Jay was this year. We didn't lose games this year because he was our quarterback which is a big step up for Jay. I 1000% put this on Gase as he's been the only one to get through to Jay the 7 years he's been here. Sad thing is we'll be back to shitty Cutler and a $16 million a year qb that ranks about 20th in the league.

Yeah, that was what I immediately thought. It is, at least, the last year we can't cut him without a significant cap hit, so hell maybe that will be enough to keep him innerested.

Is it Gaze or Gace? The radio guys seem to say Gaze.

I am by no means a Cutler apologist, but does everything he learned while Gase was the OC leave Cutler's brain the minute Gase signs on the dotted line in Miami?

I hope I'm wrong but I really think Jay thrived this season under the daily support and counsel of somebody he trusted, respected and supported him.

Agreed. I hope Gase takes that WR bubble screen with him on his way to Miami.

Rich Campbell says :

Loggains, the Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator for part of 2012 and all of 2013, contributed to Gase’s play-calling this season. Cutler also credited Loggains with helping to improve his pocket presence and ball security. In Cutler’s only season with Gase and Loggains, he posted a single-season career-best 92.3 passer rating.

Cutler said in an interview it was his personal life finally being good and stable is what let him focus and play better this year.

 John Shoop's very favorite play, too. He moved on to getting launched a few weeks ago as Purdue's OC while the other guy gets an NFL HC job.

Cutler likes Loggains so I guess that's good. Not like they are going to win a ring next year so whatever.

His decent play got him to 16th this year.

The Dolphins have given Gase control over the 53-man roster. Seems ill-advised.

this should end poorly

Gase didn't seem to have system type players that would require his having any more control of the talent evaluation as the average coach in the NFL

A man has to know his limitations

Yup.

His best attribute is he spend a lot of time with Peyton.
