I saw this article and it brought back a fond memory from when I was probably 8 or 9 years old.

When I was younger, my dad was friends with one of the higher ups in the Royals front office. One year, we went down to Spring Training (they were around Orlando then, not sure if they still are) and my dad and I got to go on the field, meet some of the players, etc. I remember Kevin Seitzer was taking BP and broke his bat (not snapped in two, but just a crack). He game over to me and handed me the bat. I thought that was the coolest thing ever. Right after that, Seitzer was cut (or traded to the Brewers, I can't remember). He went nuts.
Later that day, Boddicker came over to me and asked me if I wanted take some batting practice with him and his son. Of course, I jumped at it. So, he took us out to the outfield and his son and I took turns taking swings. One of the best days of my life. I still have the bat that Seitzer gave me.
