Ex Cubs pitching coach at Yakzees. 5 hours after most home games you could find 'DAWG' as he was called there. Started making fun of the guy one night when it was about 75 degrees and he has the 3/4 length overcoat working.

As the night goes on, he is standing close enough to us to hear my comment 'This team sucks! The pitching is terrible! TERRY ADAMS IS OUR CLOSER!!!!!" thats when he interupted with "Who do you want to close?"

I dont know what we said, but it turned ugly quick, next thing you know a bouncer is pulling this guy away from us and giving him a drink.

We go back next week and see him and I ask the bartender whats the deal with that guy? and he informs me, it is Demerritt and he is buddys with the owner, but he is always getting into it with people.

Bernstein mentioned him yesterday, made me think of it.

I saw this loser there many times. he would always be hittin on the young poontang and i'm sure he nailed his fair share.

uninterested young poon "listen sir could you please give me and my girlfriends a little space?"

marty "sure, just waiting for my buddy mark grace to get here."

now suddenly interested young poon "YOU know mark grace?"

marty "I'm the Cub's pitching coach"

now very interested young poon "really , i am the biggest cubs fan. is mark really coming here?

marty "wait, i think he said that him and his girlfriend were going to make it an early nite. Let me buy you and your friends a round of drinks"

Five hours later

sloppy-drunk slurring young poon "marty, do you live close to here?

marty "right around the corner, you ready to go darling?

sloppy-drunk slurring ready-to-get-slammed-by-a-creepy-old-as-her-father-drunk-dude young poon "Yup"


next morning

marty "hey darling you need to get the fuck outta here. i have to get to the ballpark"

head-pounding ass-bleeding young poon "what? you're a beer vendor at Wrigley stadium?"

marty "get the fuck out skank"

this is probably very close to what happened :lol:

Marty DeMerritt doesn't live in Chicago, he's a married man with three daughters. You got the age thing correct at least, since I grew up with the guy, knew his parents and family and played on the same teams that he played on. He lives and coaches in Princeton, West Virginia and unless my geography is in error, that's a long ways from Chicago.

I don't know who started the lie, and that doesn't really matter. What does matter is that you don't slander a guys name and reputation all over the world just for the fun of it!

I strongly recommend that you get a life, and cut out the drinking in bars and telling stories, they are both bad for your health!

I stand by my 1st hand encounters and have witnesses in Bloomington, IN.

Feel free to go into Yakzees and ask any long time bartender about numerous other stories outside of mine.

same here, anyone that worked there when demoron was with the cubs can verify that the guy was a horndog
