Our company just had its annual kick off meeting and John was our keynote speaker. His topic speech was regarding change and how to implement it, both personally and in business. Afterwards, he hung around and had drinks with the office. That says alot for someone in his status to not run off right after his speech. Had a chance to shoot the shit with him. He is a great guy. |

Met him at Mother's Day Brunch at Maggiano's in Schaumburg today - no one knew who he was - actually overheard the table in front of him talking about the game tonight and here is the freaking VP sitting right there. Anyway, wished him luck tonight (didnt help) and he was a nice guy and his wife was very nice - both talked to me and my dad for a bit until we let them get back to lunch. |

I used to know him when he was with the Sting. Got some pretty good perks when he was with the team and the family was really involved with supporting the team & season tickets. |

Should've asked him which has been the biggest fail for Cubs marketing since he left: Agreeing to a rooftop-blocking Toyota billboard right before Toyota cars became unsafe at any speed; OR "A day after the US Coast Guard revealed that the sinking of an oil rig licensed by BP was leaking 1,000 barrels of crude oil a day into the Gulf of Mexico, the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago White Sox announced that their interleague games would be sponsored by the oil company in what would be called the 'BP Crosstown Classic.'"
