At 6:37 this morning I was putting the finishing touches on making myself beautiful when I heard the whirl of helicopters flying low overhead. Now I remembered the man was coming back into the city for the weekend so I looked out the window. Sure enough, the trademark three Marine helicopters flew overhead heading east. I assume they head east from O'Hare and then go over the lake south in order to avoid being over residences at that time of morning.

Hate to burst your bubble but that was likely the first family. The Prez is
down in the Gulf inspecting the oil spill damage today.

At 7:30 sharp this morning amid tight security, he left his Kenwood home by motorcade to Soldier Field, where 15 minutes later he hopped on a helicopter in the parking lot for the short flight to O'Hare International Airport, where Air Force One was waiting.

That's the closest an African American gets to entering Sauganash without someone calling the police.

First there was a Jet, and if you look very carefully a couple of Jets VERY high in the sky.

Neither was Joe Klecko.

When they came in yesterday I thought it was Apocolypse Now, 2 Regular copters and then the double prop copter, flying really low.

Count me in too as my flight to back to Chicago on Thursday night got delayed due to traffic control implementing density reduction of the O'Hare traffic.

We were on 355 today. There were about 8 Suburbans, a Paddy wagon, and about 5 statepolice/sheriff cars in a caravan. The consensus was it either had something to do with the President or Garland Green.

I was a couple feet away from him when he was going into WLS studio on State for a debate in 2004. I ate at the Original Pancake House this weekend.

my brother was on duty when he landed then took off again to go to the gulf the other day. He got some neat pics of airforce one and marine one and posted on facebook. Not a fan of the current president, but still kind of cool to see that plane land and take off with all the extra aircraft involved
