Or however the fuck you spell his name. Anyway, I played hockey against him last night. He appears to have retired from football so he can begin his lucrative career chasing me around in the Skokie over-30 league. He's actually not half bad. Real fast north-south, strong on his skates. Hands not so good. But, for a guy who just picked up the game he's doing quite well. Scored a goal against us, his team's only goal in a 7-1 game. Real nice guy on the ice too...he missed a breakaway and I gave him shit for it telling him that that's why he played defense in his other sport. He laughed and said the way he finished that breakaway he should be playing defense in hockey too. We scored 2 goals in our first two shifts to start the game and at the start of the 2nd he came up to me and asked me to please not score 2 goals in the first 30 seconds. Later on one of his teammates got an unsportsmanlike penalty and it looked like the ref gave him a technical and Hunter was asking me if that means we get two shots and the ball. |

Should have ran him into the boards. He's concussion prone you know. |

So really this thread was started just to brag about a Monday night hockey game. Nobody cares. |

That's cool. I buddy of mine who plays goalie in a league such as yours also played against Hunter...apparently he was still steaming mad about Da' Bears getting rid of him because he held too much sway in the locker room during NFL/Players Union negotiations! Oh wait, I made that last part up. Either way, he isn't famous, not even close.....now if you had a run in wit' dat' Dick Butkus den we are talking, my friend. |
