Yeah, My Guy! Must have played Ultimate Texas Hold Em with him for 16-20 hours during Friday night and Saturday at the Hard Rock He is an asst coach for the T Wolves, but also his kid is in the NBA Summer league (Lucas, Portland U), Sikma actually grew up in Kankakee, basically a Chicago kid. Illinois Wesleyan, grew up on a farm, but always went to Chicago Could launch a million threads from the stories he told me, but then Frank would be unhappy that I had too many cool things happen in Vegas... but at the same time I am sure Sikma is telling his people about his guy from Chicago who hit a Royal Flush on the Ultimate Hold Em game that paid more than some people make in year! Thats right bitches! Just the main bet alone pays 500-1! Yes 500-1! So even if I had the minimum bet on that one of $10, thats $5000 on that circle alone. Then we have the Trips bonus and a few other pays! Yes, filled out the W-9! Took them close to 20 minutes to pay me out! Lets just say I was ON FIRE this Trip. Oh, did someone have Ernie at 30-1 on Friday Night? for $100? I think I will go make a few more Vegas posts! |

But he's not better than Al Horford today. |

Unquestionably better than Sikma Howard Bynum Cousins Hibbert Chandler Probably better than Sikma, but let's hear your case Horford Noah Nene McGee Bogut Just off the top of my head quick. I'm sure I forgot one or two. I should have listed Asik just to counter the absurd "Jack Sikma was twice as good as Al Horford" statement. |

I'll start with asking how anyone could possibly think a guy who averages half as many points per game and a couple less rebounds per game was "unquestionably better" than Sikma. It's ridiculous. |

It's ridiculous. Pace of play. We've been over this. But we aren't using Horford's career stats, we aren't using anyone's. We are taking the guys as they are right now vs Sikma in his prime. There's nothing that suggests that Sikma would maintain those numbers if the total possessions went from 230-240 down to 170-180 possessions a game. That's not even going into the significant speed/strength advantage every guy I listed has over Sikma. It's funny that you think Magic was better than Jordan because he shot 3% better. Meanwhile Horford shoots 10% better than Sikma while going up against better defenses. |

The pace of play argument is silly. Sikma scored twice as much as Tyson Chandler and you're chalking the difference up to "pace of play". Do you also believe that David West was a better scorer than Jordan? Pace of play. |
