Call back when she gets to #1 in seniority. The hawks don't bother with #4.

I bet if you asked them for something reasonable like Tommy Hawk to come and say hi or her name on the scoreboard, they would have been accomodating. If you really want something special, I'll throw my joint in a hot dog bun while pretending that there is something wrong with my purchase and asking her to take it back.

That one always lights up the old ladies days

Maybe you should have asked for Dave Bolland or Ray Emery. They are more of the #4 level.

Maybe you should have said she was an illegal immigrant. They get whatever they want.

I'm a little pissed that Chas hasn't used his pull to get us a good deal on seats for the CSFMB Bulls Games. Had I have known that we had the number 4 in seniority in the United Center concession stand operation, we probably could have gotten a deal on seats, a suite, or a drink package. WTF Chas?

P.S. I think I know where that Jersey fell off a truck now. Does the team shop conduct regular inventories?

The only thing she can get now is 20% off in the stores in the U.C.. They took away the discount for tickets about 3 years ago.
There is actually a store on 48th and morgan that sells "hot" stuff.

I don't see a store at 48th/Morgan. Looks like it's just industrial.

I have let you guys know my mother works at the United Center. She is a Stand Manager on the main Concourse. She is number 4 on the seniority list, that is how long she has been there. Well this year is her 72nd birthday. The Hawks are playing the day before. I asked if they could have Patrick come down before the game and just wish her a happy birthday, that is all not that big a deal. You would think they would with all the negative energy surrounding the NHL right now. I wrote a really nice letter about how big a fan she is and how she learned the game not only because she likes it but to better interact with her customers. Got a call Monday from the front office saying that it could not be done and all that they where going to do was send her an Autographed picture.
To be fair, they sent a nice one. Framed with a personalized message and a certificate of authenticity.
After a lock out that basically ruined the season. After costing any goodwill they had with fans. After both players and Team officials at every opportunity claimed they where sorry they where hurting people like my mother in the pocket book, this was the best you could do? Yeah nice gesture and to top it off they raised ticket prices.

It's time to stop playing the victim Chas.

Now I know when I want NHL apparel, I'll find the back door of a building on 48th Street.

Careful when trying to enter a back door.

They probably get dozens of letters like that everyday. The players have more important jobs than being a greeter at Walmart. Sending a picture is a nice gesture. Too bad, so sad.

I think the real question is if Chas hand wrote the letter, or if he dictated it to someone.

I'm assuming that they thought they were either getting a letter from a 2nd grader or some sort of ransom note if he in fact hand wrote it.

Good one Boyd,no I used the puter, took my time and did it right. I was something that mattered so I made sure everything was correct, unlike here.

I seriously don't see the issue. This would've taken all of 5 minutes. Either bring her to Kane or have Kane go to her. Either way they're in the same building. You can get this done before the fans are allowed in.

I think they still did a pretty nice thing, but between the sincere heartfelt and eloquent letter chas penned, and the fact that chas's mom and Kane a like a few hundred feet from one another, you'd think this would've been a no brainer.

Tell your mom Happy Birthday from good ol' KS, chas.

And hello Vendor!!

The rest of you I'm none too happy with.

Athletes have pre game rituals and workout stuff to do before games. Especially in hockey.

True, but you hear and see all he time that they bring kids in. I know my mother is no where near a kid who is doing their Make a wish but it is done. Plus,They are in the building a couple of hours before they let the public in.

They also do pre game interviews on both TV and Radio. There are also reporters in the locker room before the game

I'd hold off on this docheing until after her birthday. Maybe they will do it as a suprise.

I wouldn't douche Kane for this. The front office should have found a way to make it happen, like inviting the old lady to the locker room after the game for the time of her life.

This. They probably never even asked Kane.

If they wanted him to actually do it, they would have just told him there was a chick at the beer stand who wanted to meet him.
