I don't think it's quite that simple. The media is clearly toward the left when it comes to social issues such as gay rights, free speech, and the like. But it is similarly biased toward the right in numerous cases, including the supply-side "job creators" idea of the wealthy's role in society and in generally dismissing the revenue component of the state/federal budget deficits, and toward deferential treatment in favor of proposed or actual military actions.

i can't believe people still say this with as much access to news sites and outlets that we have now...to debunk that unbelievably incorrect myth that there is a "liberal" bias in media. there is a sensationalist bias in media, and there always has been. every media outlet is run by someone with a bias, but "the media" is made up of many, many parts...and it's all pretty insincere considering that there's very little research done before the story's printed.

but seriously...why would news ever want to be...conservative? it never goes for an angle so...slight.

The episode with The Rock was hilarious. He might be entering Alec Baldwin/Justin Timberlake territory where his appearances are always good.
