Agreed. Probably enough to fill a minor league stadium!

I don't think it's quite that simple. The media is clearly toward the left when it comes to social issues such as gay rights, free speech, and the like. But it is similarly biased toward the right in numerous cases, including the supply-side "job creators" idea of the wealthy's role in society and in generally dismissing the revenue component of the state/federal budget deficits, and toward deferential treatment in favor of proposed or actual military actions.

Yes, that's NPR liberalism, also practiced by Rahm Emanuel and espoused by Señor Columnist. Lip service for abortions and gays, but remember, it's really cool how you can kill a thousand people from an office park in suburban Maryland.

i saw my first I'M WITH RAHM lawn advertisement thing yesterday and i had to start trying to think up a more honest lawn sign.

if i had a lawn in the city my sign would say "FATALISTS FOR RAHM"

"I'm With Rahm," the "I Stand With Scott Walker" of people who think they still have souls.

i can't believe people still say this with as much access to news sites and outlets that we have now...to debunk that unbelievably incorrect myth that there is a "liberal" bias in media. there is a sensationalist bias in media, and there always has been. every media outlet is run by someone with a bias, but "the media" is made up of many, many parts...and it's all pretty insincere considering that there's very little research done before the story's printed.

but seriously...why would news ever want to be...conservative? it never goes for an angle so...slight.

The episode with The Rock was hilarious. He might be entering Alec Baldwin/Justin Timberlake territory where his appearances are always good.

By today's SNL standards, I agree. I enjoyed it.

Sorry, just saw this now.

Biden gets a lot of shit but he isnt President. If he was, you could compare it with Bush.

Clinton was MURDERED by SNL during the Lewinsky thing. Every week they had something.

Of course there are things on the left to make fun of, but I dont think you can deny that the right (especially the southern religious right) gives a lot more to work with.

The media coverage is not as forever as you make it out to be. Right now the media is left thought, that's true. Might not be that way forever and wasnt always that way.

Biden does not get any shit. correct he's VP, but he gets zero. Sarah Palin was only a candidate and gets roasted. She deserves to get roasted because she's a moron, but Biden is about as equally dumb.

Clinton was hardly murdered. they were soft on him.

They were laughing w/ Bill Clinton, not necessarily @ him.

Biden does get a pass. There's a lot of shit they could do on him, & they mostly pretend he does't exist.

Palin deserved worse than she got. Tina Fey pulled her punches because her parents are Republican & she's a spineless bitch who doesn't want Mommy & Daddy to scold her.

How is that even possible. They crucified her.

She's as evil & vicious as Ronald W. Reagan. We could only hope for a Chinese Invasion if she became President.

Completely agree -- that classic sketch where he's at a McDonalds or something explaining his policy while eating the forbidden McDonalds was much more of a "laugh with" moment.

is SNL even culturally relevant when it "gets" a vice/president anymore? last time i remember a legit hub-bub was when tina fey came back to do sarah palin cuz of their physical resemblance, and that was solid... but looking back to the halcyon days of legend and lore, was dana carvey's "NOT GONNA DO IT! IT WOULDN'T BE PRUDENT.... A THOUSAND POINTS OF LIGHT" george bush v1.0 all that great? chevy chase as gerald ford fell a lot, right?

maybe it was never that good as much as we all wanted it to be.

i'm sure they have a beyond-lame obama, prolly portrayed by 2-3 people at this juncture. call it a hunch jay pharaoh would do the best one if he was given a chance.

well played.... also i could see a mult here called Big Gay in honor of.... what the fuck is Big Gay? bravo? the buttplug industry? clothing companies who specialize in skin-tight stuff? the music industry?

i'll just assume "Big Gay" is what you run into at closing time of a bad night at the bar akin to that one night dude was trying to serenade into his bed with a loaded crackpipe.
