That it was the biggest in American sports history. NO!!!! It wasn't.

Wisconsin was 5 point dogs. THAT'S NOT A MAJOR UPSET. 5 point dogs win all the time in basketball.

Vegas only had the line at -5 cuz they knew people would pound Kentucky. It should have been -2 based on the players on the court.

Jay Billis just said it. "Upset of historical proportions".

No, dumb ass.

I also don't want to hear people say if they played 10 times, Kentucky would win 9 times. Nope. It would probably be 5-5.

It was a huge loss considering their record this year and team. I think you have to rank it in top college bball upsets of all time, no?

No -- for one thing, they were fortunate to escape the Elite Eight. ND missed at least a couple of 3-pointers they'd normally hit and could have sent UK packing.

Freshmen are not truly battle-tested. No matter how good they were coming in. And their inexperience showed against ND and UW.

No. Did you read what I just wrote.

Idiots consider records. Upsets aren't about records. It's about the match up at hand. If Kentucky played in the ACC or Big 10 they'd have 3 or 4 losses going into the tourney. Then you wouldn't be saying that.

In fact, there have been thousands of upsets bigger than this in college basketball. Including regular season and the tourney. Over the history of college basketball games.

WISCY were 5 point dogs. How is that a HUGE upset?

I don't think it was much of an upset either. Wisc. Has at least 3 pros on their team. Two of them will be top 15 one is the college player of the yr. Kentucky went to ot with two weak teams from the SEC which was not a power conf. They were considered the best team in college but I don't think they are overwhelmingly talented. Their depth was their calling card but that's negligible because you are talking about college aged kids that are able to play all day without really getting tired. You also have a week in between games which means they are well rested. The notion that freshman can't get it done is faulty because Duke is Freshman dominated and KU has been involved in 3 of the last final fours.

Mercer beating DUKE last year was a BIG TIME upset. 14 vs. 3 seed in the 1st round. I'm guessing that line was 15 or bigger. 50 times more shocking than this one.

Wisconsin is 36-3

Kentucky is 38-1

Big 10 vs SEC?

Upset? C'mon.

i dont watch college ball, but anyone who does could have predicted that game

kentucky ran ZERO plays. that was "were more athletic, well just win" gameplan

wisconsin ran the system they knew to the death and it paid off.

in the end, kentucky beat themselves even with some horrible calls going their way

wait..... kentucky lost? weren't they supposed to be invincible despite the fact i haven't heard of anyone on their team?

maybe if they had a player or two who was a household name for people who aren't into CBB they would have done better.... or maybe this is just a win for white basketball around the world? AND WITH THE 21ST PICK OF THE 2016 NBA DRAFT, THE CHICAGO BULLS SELECT.... THE UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN!

freddy hoiberg is gonna love coaching them up. slap mah floor!

It's a win for college teams that have actual college students on their rosters -- not one-year mercenaries who never go to class, never take exams legitimately... And that really has nothing to do with race, socioeconomics aside.

It's also a win for good coaching and hard-working players. You just can't win a title with mediocre gameplans -- especially when you rely on an all-teen roster.

No. It's none of that. It's Wisconsin beating Kentucky today. Calipari is still gonna make FINAL FOURS doing it his way over the next 10 years (If he doesn't go NBA or the NCAA doesn't put him on probation). He'll do it more times than Bo Ryan.

Any team who beats a team that is 38-0 is an upset. Kentucky was the odds on favorite to with the championship. Big upset for sure.

Then they better win the next one against the Duke one-year mercenaries, otherwise this is all for naught.

NO

That UK team was not at an all time GREAT team. Tons of talent, deep, good, yes, but the Freshman factor and the lack of GOOD basketball was an issue.

UK, come a shot away from losing to ND, who played great basketball, in terms of moving without the ball, picks, etc. After watching AZ/WISC and then UK/ND, I was all over WISC...and have the wagering printouts to prove it.

Not saying I was confident about WISC winning outfight, but very confident about being +6

Overall, most impressive player has been DEKKER and thats only because of the timing of some of his plays, when his team needed big shots he has stepped up, other than that, Justise Winslow has been the best player in the Tourney. Have a feeling they will be on each other in this game monday night, great matchup there.

5 and it was falling before gametime down to 4.5

Still, contextually it was an upset and a memorable one.
