Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, it's Sunday, and it's time to vote for some douchebags!
Since it's been a few years since the poll, let us review the rules.
Eligible posts will be from Sunday thru Saturday, or in other words, a calendar week. Generally chosen will be the best nominees, based on views, posts and controversy. And whatever I like best.
You will vote for one. You can change your vote. The voting period will last 5 days. Each winner will be entered into a douchebag of the Quarter, then the top four from each quarter will be entered into the final Douchebag of the Year Finale, which by my calculations will be Memorial Day weekend 2016. How fun.
Anyway here are your nominees for week 1!
comcast (once again... surprise surprise): Sinic nominated Comcast for something that seems like it might have been about a foreign call center but his largely incomprehensible post (order UFC 245) and subsequent truncation made the original complaint difficult to understand, but really, we know that Comcast's customer service blows (Order UFC 245). And after an hour wait you get shipped off to some outpost of civilization in Bangledesh or something (Order UFC 245) and then you can't understand anything they're saying and they probably can't understand you so it's like an hour wait to get free showtime for three months which really isn't worth it. Oh, and don't forget to order UFC 245.
WSCR: Bigfan nominated WSCR for their liberal application of the term "Breaking News." It wasn't really that important of news, just some families upset about the lack of urgency. But it does fit into Dan's NARRATIVE so maybe that's why such mundane news items are punctuated by BIG VOICE GUY and the Score dramatic music. What I don't get is why Bigfan knew about this as he doesn't listen to the Score... verry inderesding!
Menards: Ikesouth had to wait in line behind an angry weed whacker lady at Menards and therefore it is Menard's fault and they suck. Obviously they have no idea what they're doing there. The best part about this thread is that it gave Seacrest a chance to pontificate which we all need and desire. So John Menard is a shithead... does that mean his stores blow? I guess it's up to you, CSFMB.
Jeffery Loria: Impulsive. Obnoxious. Entitled. Loria was nominated by Darkside for the firing of yet another manager long before the end of his contract and mainly for the choice made to fill the vacuum. A guy who hasn't coached above HS level, and not within the last 30 years. JORR says that managers don't matter so this is probably a good move to him, but he has managed to lose every game until last night for a less than impressive start. Is Loria a douchebag for this odd ownership move? You decide, CSFMB!
