These people keep screwing me with my child support payments. My ex wife and I had an agreed court order for child support and arrearage that I had been paying for several years. I spent money on an attorney and court cost to get it all done officially by the courts.

I never missed a payment and never had any problems paying my ex. My ex was happy because she was getting paid and everything was fine, until my ex got divorced for the 3rd time and filed something with the state. Now the state re-opened my case and garnished my wages, even though my ex and I said we do not want them to be garnished. My paychecks are not the same every week and this causes problems with me balancing my checkbook and paying my bills.

Now they send me something saying they are increasing the garnishment because of the arrearage that was settled in court. Naturally when I call them they are having phone difficulties and I can not get through to anyone to explain what is going on.

I hate this fucking state. How can they just ignore a court order and do whatever the fuck they want? If this goes through and I am sure it will I could lose my house. Can't get a loan for a car because the garnishment is too high. I am fucked!

Hey, atleast my ex wife was able to cash 4 months of checks she held on to and taken that cruise to Mexico she wanted. State really looking out for the families. Soon I won't have a house to take the kids to for visitation, but who cares about that. As long as my ex has enough child support to buy my kids the new Iphone! They can text me when I am in jail after the state suspends my license and I lose my job and no longer can pay what I was paying in the first place. The state will then provide me with a nice free Obama phone that I couldn't afford when I wasn't a part of the system.

Thanks Obama!

My ex insisted on garnishing wages when we first got divorced....I told her she'd regret it and it would be best if I simply did an auto withdrawal through my employer, but she didn't trust me.

I'll never forget the day it kicked in and the money was out of my account but not yet deposited. She failed to discuss with others to find out that since the govt takes the money, houses it and then deposits it to her account there's this thing called a DELAY...LOL.

A month later I switched jobs and she decided garnishment may not be the best option.

2 years down....3 years to go.

My ex hired a lawyer to stop the garnishment because she was not getting paid from the state on time or for the correct amount and the state refused to stop garnishing my checks.

Turns out that my ex owes the state medical payments for my kids because she was collecting from them even after I added them to my insurance and the state won't drop the garnishment until she pays it off.

Now they are telling me I am late on a payment for July and increased my garnishment by 150.00 a month. I called them up and said, how can I be late if you take it out of my check every week? The lady said oh let me check to see if you made the payments. I am like, WTF how could I not make the payments it you take it out every week you dumb bitch! She then starts reading the account and says, I see a payment for the the 13,20,27.... and I say, offcourse because it comes out AUTOMATICALLY every week! She then goes back to the beginning of the garnishment and says, oh I don't see any payment for May 15th. I tell her that is because that was the BEGINNING of the garnishments! Offcourse you are not going to see a payment before it was setup... jesus christ, how could you be this stupid... .? Then she says, well I dunno it doesnt show a payment, please call this number. I did call that number and they told me to call you because it said I was late and they didn't know why. She says, I dunno I can not change anything in the computer. We only process the withholding. I hang up and bang my head against my desk for a couple minutes.

What I know about this "Dept" was a couple of hispanic brothers (Actual brothers), who are attorneys had an "IN" with someone there. I would show this guy property, which he would get pre approved for an office for this dept. He would buy the property and then lease it back to them. VERY common move for insiders to make money from any level of government.

let me add, this risk in these deals is that if the programs dont recieve funding the next year, they cancel the lease. Its in all Fed, State, City leases.

That doesn't surprise me. If you want funding all you have to do is cry, "but it's for the children." What politician is going to cancel a childrens and poor mothers state program.
