This is the ESPN Bears expert who almost refuses to offer opinions on the future of players and team on a constant basis. Listening to him with Waddle and Waddle needs to squeeze Dickerson for a thought on the future of Forte...and the best this guy can say is 'its a fair topic to discuss"

The guy is worse than ZZ! Who at least has some excuse as he works for the Bears doing sideline reports on gamedays and hosts bears insider shows...

I did not think that was possible.

JD is as vanilla, boring and uninteresting as Carmen. Probably the nicest guy in the world. Probably never swears, drinks milk and is in bed at 9pm every night. As I said before, he's the type that all moms want their daughters to marry. But just provides nothing as a reporter or a radio host.

I think it's an ESPN 1000 thing. They just want nice boys that say nice things. And the guys there realize it and won't stray from it.

I do defend the beat reporters more than most here; many on the board expect these guys to offer opinions, but they aren't columnists/opinion-makers. For the question on Forte's future, Dickerson could have easily laid out the considerations (age, money, Bears in rebuild, importance to the offense, etc.) without giving an opinion; of course, it's hard to host a show without having an opinion, which does make their duo role as beat reporter somewhat confusing.

He's not worse than ZZ. I liked his shows with hood. I struggle with him as more than a reporter or update guy. Him and waddle today was...not good.

It was an easy subject to deal with, but he was so scared to talk about it. If he cant offer an opinion, he should be taking up the time on the air.

Agree. Sometimes when he fills in its not real good, but he seems to do well with Hood or anyone else on the evening shift.

He is nowhere near the level of Bears lover/apologist as ZZ is. In fact, he has been one of the only true Bears reporters/beat guys who has been overly critical of Cutler over the years.

He's never liked Cutler. He's pretty good and usually right as a reporter.
