the vouchers thing is a total mess. my coworker (who attends a shit ton of concerts) put it perfectly: "ticketmaster fucks you even when they're supposed to be the ones getting fucked".

they're absolutely coming out on top in this
-they're giving tickets to shows that are 1/2 or 1/3 full, it's not like they're offering tickets to shows that would otherwise be sold (likely)
-Live Nation also books shows at several other venues like HoB, Bottom Lounge...but only shows being offered in Tinley ?
-they're driving an insane amount of traffic to their website
-while some vouchers are free, some are merely discounts that will force people to spend money anyways

they're basically saying: we'll give you free tickets to some shows that we decided. And then it's still up to our discretion whether you get them or not

I didn't see anything I liked or that was less than a 10 hr drive.

Well any penalty is too soft for Ticketmaster, this is a lot stronger than I would have guessed.
I have plenty of vouchers, but nothing in chicagoland area. Useless.

I got tickets to see Reverend Horton Heat on Saturday at HOB, but I just realized I can't go. Oh well, maybe I can make a few bucks on stubhub.

I just got some Gwen Stefani tickets -- good to give to stepdaughter and her friend. Feels good to at least be personally involved in screwing over TM.
