TUCKER CARLSON DESTROYS!!!!!

Carlson is sitting their with egg on his face like Don Vincenco in True Romance, yet his production people have the balls to post that as if he was victorious. He got played and the guy proved his point. I wish he had said Ba Ba Booey at the end.

the truth is fox should have snuffed this out before even giving airtime, but they try to spin it as Carlson "exposed" the group. no, idiots, the joke's on you. you let them on the air and gave them legitimacy. laughing about it gives a little credence to Carlson's sense of humor but they absolutely thought this was serious from the get-go.

yeah i saw that interview with the demand protest dude last night... tucker clearly wanted to be "as cool as the kid who came to school just for just for lunch" (-slug) with the guy, but the guy was doing some C- performance art (getting hyped up to A+ by tucker by virtue of selling his show) with the whole interview thing.

you could tell that tucker just wanted this guy to heap praise upon him for being "in on the joke", but the guy was just attempting to do his bit and kinda-cracked at the end when he was like "i can't believe i'm on national TV right now" ---- GRADE A PERFORMANCE ART MY ASS!

I'm looking for recommendations!

The best show I've watched recently is Stranger Things on Netflix.

I watched an episode of Black Mirror, but that wasn't great. Walking Dead has never appealed to me, and I haven't been able to get into Westworld.

Like WZ mentioned, check out Rectify if you haven't yet.

I keep seeing the preview for Shane's new show, Six. He plays a guy from Seal Team Six. There's a terrible scene where some Muslim Warlord slaps him around and says, "YOU ARE NAVY SEAL!"

what? did we see the same thing?

if you remember i'm far from a tucker carlson guy... i believe that i said that you can't trust anyone who was that pro-bowtie and then gives up on it to get a show on after o'rielly, cuz for better or worse he sold out "his brand" which just tells you about the bedrock foundation of the man.

my grandpa used to watch papa bear o'reilly all the time, so often times i put it on for him just to kind of, you know, "carry on".... and tucker led off at 8:01pm with this dude, who wasn't cucking anyone.... i mean the first thing tucker did was call out his bullshit and this guy had to go UHHHH and back to his talking points. he thought he was getting away with his BS like he did elsewhere but tucker was all like "you're full of shit, so what do you say to that?" and the dude was cracking... you could see that dom got visibly relieved when tucker called him a performance artist, and then at the end tucker "got him" to admit that he's basically just amazed he could get on national TV with this shit.

neither of them looked especially good, since tucker wanted the guy to bow before him and the guy showed that he didnt really have improv skills (which are FUCKING KEY to decent performance art, btw) so it was just kind of potentially-great-but-not-really-all-that-good and rah rah rah blah blah blah if you wanna say dom "won" by virtue of getting on TV, ok then, but tucker had him on to try and set him up for an epic beatdown to crumble before the might of tucker carlson.... and in reality, they both came off kind of lame and tryhard tbh, and neither of them are what i'd call "especially transcendental off the cuff"

We have a lot of great viewers in the Heartland. Our ratings are second only to big football games. Speaking of which, I'll be interviewing our 45th President, Donald J. Trump during the Super Bowl. I will be asking him tough questions about Russia. Don't miss it.

nice, but i'd personally try for o'reilly's spirited "you eat at NOBU" to howard stern, you know, where papa bear tried to (correctly) slag off howard's "man of the people" gimmick by pointing out that he eats at super-expensive/celebrity-addled NYC restaurants that are the "hip and now place to be"

...of course howard also had a point when he retorted "bill, you know this because you saw me while you were eating there" and then of course bill wasn't technically wrong either when he said "yeah but i don't try to pretend that i'm anything other than what i am" and c'est la vie... but i still think bill's classic "you eat at NOBU" might be a really practical bullet to fire at someone next time you use this mult =P

I'll keep that in mind in case I ever square off with liberal blowhards like Leashmykids, Good Dolphin and Joe Orr Road Rod.

oh yeah and i'd be remiss if i didn't point out that somewhere (right around howard's first year or two at sirius, so circa 06-08) there's a fox news / fox business channel interview with howard where, for once in his life, he sheds the "everyman" gimmick and literally boasts about doing things such as, example, blackballing opie and anthony (read: his top competition) cuz "you're damn right" that howard is gonna do whatever he has to do to prop himself up in a position where he makes hundreds of millions of dollars. he's gotta look out for #1, after all....

so yeah, there's one ~10yr old interview where howard actually realizes that the fox/business demo = right-leaning people (and don't forget the timeless adage told to me by a mysterious guy at the continental once: "when you're young if you don't lean left/dem you have no heart; when you're older if you don't lean right/repub you don't have any money") so he figured that since he was going to have this interview be seen by people with money that he was gonna come off like a smarmy cocksure rich dude PROUD of the fact he did all this wack bullshit behind the scenes to fuck with (those shitheads) opie and anthony, and you know basically being all proud of "hey i'm gonna do whatever i gotta do to look out for #1 because i'm out to make as much money as i can" -- well hey, all the people saying this on SFN/dawg's ended up being RIGHT?!?! go figure!

(and good luck finding that interview cuz howard always makes it hard to dig up dirt on him from the past that he's decided is no longer profitable/useful-towards-his-ends --- ask the tapes team! you can listen to hundreds of hours of vintage stern on sirius nowadays and never knew that he used to have a wife named allyson =)

this would foreshadow the eventual "evolution" of howard from the guy who was really really good at radio in the 90s to the nu/current-howard-stern who basically realized he got as far [read "as much $$$"] as he can get out of being "the people's champ" so basically he'll proudly declare that "i'll piss on my fans" en route to changing up the gimmick that got him famous into a new/PC/friendlier gimmick that is as phony as the people he got big off of cutting on as phonies while coming up --- all so he can hopefully get the love/respect/admiration of rich/celebrity people.... the final frontier for howard stern tbh

I'd say try and get to the end of the season on Westworld. I was half in for the first 5-6 episodes but it. gets really good at the end. Phenomenal finale.

Im giving Luke Cage a shot next. Not a Marvel super hero guy at all but Ive heard it called Marvel's version of The Wire. And the soundtrack is great so im in.
