Almost every article mentions how hard working and respected MANY who were laid off were. Well, tell your publication to hire them then.

There's nothing journalists love to cover more than other journalists.

I highly doubt Julie is going to open up her studio time for that woman from Chicago who got laid off.

If they were smart enough not to mix Social Justice Warriors and sports they probably wouldn't have to fire anybody.

Probably more of a financial problem, though? I think anyone's politics these days would disqualify them in someone's eyes....

90% of Don Lemon's show is let's talk about the gossip over at Fox... then I click over to BBC World and watch real news.

Which is too bad because Lemon is not without talent and intelligence. He used to have decent shows with good guests.

Best part is these layoffs due nothing to help their bottom line considering they are losing hundreds of millions of dollars with the loss of subscribers.

I was referencing the injection of politics into their programming is having a detrimental effect on their ratings and subscribers. Rush Limbaugh referenced Linda Cohn who indicated that the network may be losing subscriber revenue not just because of cord-cutting, but because viewers are increasingly turned off by ESPN inserting politics into its sports coverage.

No, I get all that. I just think the subscribers are not subscribing because they finally have an out. Grandma Moses never wanted ESPN, and now she doesn't have to pay for it. Politics probably has something to do with it, but it's gotta be a secondary issue; besides, sports fans don't even need Sportscenter anymore.

Rush has chutzpah. Wasn't he the Sunday morning ESPN guy who said that Donovan McNabb was only considered good because he was black?
