Spotify is where it's at.

edit: and you can download albums to your phone for when you are flying...

I use Apple Music the same way...

I'm getting used to Google Play to manage as much of my library as I can fit on my phone and I mostly like it so far. It's really fussy about metadata but nothing I can't deal with under extreme protest.

This is my belief in porno but not music.

Anyone can do a poor man's cover of Wonderwall but not many girls can ride a dick like Jynx Maze.

When the net goes down and the rape gangs start (bc no more pornhub) I will be safe in my bunker with USB hard drives and a generator.

I just prefer to "own" rather than stream if possible
Spotify has its place but also has too many issues for me to use it as a primary mode of listening

Yeah, it really sucks being able to listen to whatever I want wherever I want in v0 or better quality.

Spotify is not just an app, but a desktop program as well.

It was the first music app to allow you to pick exactly what you want to listen. (For free on Windows, $10/month for mobile). You don't have to listen to radio stations or playlists...you create your own playlists or listen to individual songs on demand. No commercials for Spotify Premium of course. There are also a ton of integrations with Last.FM, Waze and a bunch of other apps and websites. The $10 I pay Spotify every month is the easiest monthly expenditure I have, bar none.

I only run Pandora on the desktops I use, and uBlock Origin takes care of commercials for me.

Eh, when Pandora finally dies in the next year or two, I'll probably check Spotify out.

i can't believe people still use pandora. their algorithm is awful. almost any of the other services that offer on demand listening have better "radio station" options.

Can't imagine what those issues would be. I used to buy CDs (have over 1,200) but would never go back to that model even if Spotify tripled their price.

The one thing I thought could be an issue was sound quality when played through my main rig at home, but it's been fine and in many cases better than the CD version (the remastering more than compensates for the compression).

Douchebagging approved!

For the horrible commercials they play. Otherwise, great service!
