Bump

We have a nest in our yard. My dog brought the kids one during dinner. I put it back in the nest when I got home. It's eyes were still closed so I don't think they are more than 2 weeks old. I think they leave the nest at 3-4 weeks but couldn't find much on the internet. Anybody know for sure? And how do I keep these things protected as long as they are here? I'm going to put a fence around it. maybe food and water?

The dumb little birds nested on top of the grass that fly the wrong way- you dumb shit, go away from the big loud thing, not into it.

A couple years ago I got a fawn in the mower, it's hooves were about an inch long, so really young. Never saw it before the next round, must have chosen fight over flight. The pheasant nests get me, since they have become quite rare around here, smash a dozen eggs at a time.
