I walked out of the end of that briefing because I am totally saddened by what just happened. Sarah Sanders was repeatedly given a chance to say the press is not the enemy and she wouldn't do it. Shameful.

Jim should ask his bosses why they did so much to promote Trump during the primary. I guess it was A: good for ratings and B: they wanted to ensure Hillary had the weakest opponent possible.

Trump's attacks on the press wouldn't resonate if the press hadn't spent the last 20+ years destroying their own credibility.

I read the whole exchange, and Sanders actually made a couple of fair points.

But attacking the media is generally a weak strategy. But in Trump's case, it works with his typical voter.

If you are white, the press is out for you. No debate left to be had on the matter. They've thrown in their lot.

If the media wants to stop being called the enemy of America, they should stop being the enemy of America.

If you watch the Today show or something similar they do 7 minutes of "serious" news-usually about bad weather or Trump. The rest of the show is talking about the seasonal hot buy, some scare piece on how household items can injure or kill your kids, and some human interest story about a celebrity.
