Did you see how far out all those other public announcements were? Somebody blew it and the team president is stuck cleaning it up.
The weird thing to me is that had they not needed to distract from the Allen stuff, it seems plausible they’d have just done it without any pre-announcement.
What?
Lol come on man. No, this type of shit is literally NEVER announced a few days before hand.
You’re clearly a bright guy so your angle in this thread confuses me greatly. How are you not agreeing that 2+2=4 and the Redskin team is complete garbage for this and obviously trying to cover for future leaks??
Of course not, which is why I never said that.
My point was that if you believe - like I do - the Redskins announced it this week to distract from the Allen emails, then it’s reasonable to believe they had no intention of announcing it at all. You’d just show up Sunday and get treated to a little halftime show honoring Taylor, kind of like going to a Bulls game without knowing you’ll get to see the guy who contorts himself into a tiny glass box at half.
The reporting is clear that friends, family and teammates knew at least as early as September. That there are events planned around this gives credence to the idea that this was not some last minute, thrown together ceremony.
