Can I pile on for the atrocity that is Popeye's in Lake Geneva?

Food there is better than Popeye’s.

Shoulda texted, I was at Cadence, but would have picked up your tab. My husband is at a friend's house. My kids are at parties.

That place is truly awful, yet it's seemingly always crowded. The Italian place next door, while still not very good, is much better.

They opened up a Popeye's down here across the street from a Bojangles. I used to get Popeye's about every other month when I lived in Illinois so I thought I would try their chicken sandwich again, I had tried it when my dad was sick last year and I was up in Chicago for a while.

That was not good. I mean, it was better than KFC. But even the biscuit I ordered was worse than McDonald's.

Bojangles opened up in the plaza at I-39 and I-55 in Normal. If you are passing that way, it is a far better option.

The only fast food I've eaten the last couple of years regularly is Freddy's grilled chicken sandwich (300 calories, 520mg sodium). Extra tomato, and lettuce, no condiment. Then I generously add on Heinz low sodium ketchup. Delicious!

We went there once for the Friday fish fry and the somehow they thought we wanted baked cod and not fried. Waited almost 20 minutes only to have the cod taste like rubber and be flavorless. The view of the lake was the only nice part of it.

You were going to bump up your post with your wildebeest outside of the Brewers game?
