1 Home support was starting to wane
2 we where hitting the bottom of our manpower resources
3 had to stop the advance of the Russians. We could not let them take over all of Asian continent.Look how far they advanced in just 6 weeks. any more time and they would have been all over and once they get in there is basically no way to force them out short of "Patton's Dream"
