I have no sympathy for Demp whatsoever. None. I have no sympathy for someone who is supposed to be a baseball traditionalist, not doing the right thing for the business that made him. Not doing the right thing for the fans and the players and the organization that help make him what he is today. Demp made a very very selfish decision. Demp's going to have to live with that for the rest of his life. Demp screwed Demp. I have no sympathy whatsoever for Demp.

That's because he got great "run support".

Seriously, the guy is an average pitcher. Nothing more.

I have met Demp 4 times, while a more naive fan (CGS for example) might say the guy couldnt have been nicer, all I could think of was what a fake this guy is. The guy had a line for everyone he met. I understand it is hard to say hello to everyone as a 'celeb", but would rather you be a dick if that is how you feel about it, then be a fake DB!

Regardles, all my prior posts about him said the same thing. HUGE CHOKE ARTIST in Big games and yes, tonight was a big game for him. Pressure was on, he needed to show why they traded for him and he basically SUCKED!!!!

This was not about AL v NL, this was about Dempster's Giggy getting tight in big situations.

I have documented it before, the guy does not deliver in big games! In fact they are some of his worst games!

The "I wanna go to the Dodgers" tantrum is just an example of his act.

Good riddens.

Totally agree. Big game choke artist.

Hopefully the pitcher we got from ATL for Maholm is better than Delgado.

Fuck Dempster and yes, he fucked himself in Chicago for life.

Stupid.

When I saw his pitching line last night, I started laughing and thought of Hank. How proud he must have been.

He's 1-0 right now.

Can you win the Cy Young in both Leagues in one season?

Not sure, but I remember Willie McGee winning the batting title in the NL even though he was traded to the Oakland A's. You remember that?

If anybody ever won the Cy Young in a half year, it would have been C.C. for the Brewers a few years back, he was just about unbeatable.

Yes, I know Douchebag was being funny.

Randy Johnson had a heck of a 2 month period for the Astros that one year, too.

Sutcliffe won it starting from June. That's the shortest term that I can remember.

Remember that, I think C.C. started sometime around the 2nd week of August. I remember they got him earlier than the trade deadline.

You know Sabathia has a shot at 300 wins. He'd still have to average about 14-15 wins until he's 40, over the next 8 years but it's not out of the question.

A few years ago I didn't think there was anybody that would be close or possibly ever be close again. He's got an outside shot.

Did not realize that, that is pretty remarkable.

Also, I heard earlier this year that Jeter was on a pace to pass Rose. Just don't think he will play that long.

In 1987 Doyle Alexander was traded to the Tigers (for John Smoltz) and in 11 starts he went 9-0 with a 1.53 ERA.

If Chris Sale averages 19 wins a season and pitches until he is 38, he gets 300. If he pitches until age 40, he needs to average 16 wins a season to get to the 300 mark. That is NOT factoring in the 4-7 more wins he will likely get this season.

That would be impressive pitching every 9th day.

Yeah, I remember when Glavine won his 300th the names mentioned that had a shot were Sabathia, Halladay, and Hudson.

And Sabathia having the best shot because of age

Buehrle will get there I think

No way. He'd have to pitch until he's 45. He'll quit long before then.

It will be awesome when him and Bacon go in the HOF in the same year.

Are you really saying someone in his 3rd season (and his first as a SP) has a shot at 300 wins?

If I win 20 games a season starting in 2013 I could make it to 300 at 42 years old. So it's not that out of the question.

He had 4 wins with cleveland..then went 16 & 1 with the cubs. So he won 20 games...but it didnt count.

Side note: met and had a drink or 3 with a Sut in the HardrRock Casino in vegas. He was getting a big kick out of my Steve Garvey hate!!!
