Because he knew he wouldn't get traction if he ran as an independent. This is the interesting thing about the fallacious if only "Bernie would have run" garbage. He could have run as an independent and been on the ballot for the General. You know the actual "party" that he'd belonged to for most of his career. He didn't have to join up with the Dems.

If he was such the sure shot then run as an independent and win.

So why didnt they give him a fair chance then? All anyone is asking for is fairness.

When you take your blinders off and actually think like the average person, that's what everyone was mad about. She was so paranoid that she couldn't play fair. But she and her husband have done that all their careers so I guess it was just part of the game for them. She sure found out on election day the people she couldn't scam saw right thru this.

probably. I really dont care. I love watching baby mac go insane. And it's never a rerun and it's a daily show. Its fascinating.

Laying out factual information is going insane. Got it.

Well there's the way you do it. You... sound like a looney. You dont lay out facts, you constantly call people names and come up with stupid condescending nicknames for anyone who doesn't buy your fertilizer. You're really mean. You rant like an unhinged child. You have a tantrum every single day.
It's really something

Its not about blinders. Bernie Sanders had spent the better part of his career bashing the hell out of the Democratic Party. He only joined them to run for President. What the hell did they actually owe him. Has he put in "work" for them? Hell no. He was being an opportunist and he was hoping to garner votes from the Anti Hillary wing of the Party.

He did but it wasn't enough to get elected.

Why aren't his legion of voters bashing him for being a phony Dem.? He spent the entirety of his career touting his independence only to sell them out in order to run for President.

I think people willfully misrepresent Bernie's affiliation with the Democratic Party, as if he was a lifelong Republican who decided the party didn't represent him anymore and became a Democrat instead, like Jim Webb or Lincoln Chafee, or that he's some kind of foreign agent that infiltrated the party from within and sustained himself off its resources at the expense of his host organism, like a parasite or an Elder of Zion who drinks the blood of Christian babies. He has caucused and voted with the Democrats for years and the party has generally agreed not to run candidates against him in Vermont House/Senate elections. For most intents and purposes, he is a de facto Democrat, with his cardinal sin being that he's not a large cog or even any cog in the Democratic Party fundraising/grift machine. By not being a Democrat in name, he's been able to exist on the periphery as something like the screaming conscience of liberalism/the left/not-the-right, which I would argue has been mutually beneficial: he's not stained by the worst the party has to offer, and the Democrats can point to him and say that there is a place in the big tent for people to the left of capital. People who harp on him not being a "REAL" Democrat are either obsessed with Hillary Clinton, obsessed with rules and propriety, or both -- it's not as if the two haven't gone hand-in-hand. And what is a real Democrat? We don't have rank-and-file party members in America. It's declaring whether you prefer chocolate or vanilla.

Whatever spin you seek to put on it he wasn't a member of the party until he decided to run for President.

If he was such the sure shot he could have and should have run as the independent (that he was) and won.

The Democratic Party was under no obligation to embrace him since he'd never embraced them.

He championed his outsider status when it was convenient and disavowed it when it wasn't.

The same people bitching about Bernie running as a Democrat would have been bitching 10X louder had he actually run as an independent and siphoned off votes in the general. Hell Jill Stein was largely inconsequential everywhere and still is somehow being blamed for 2016 by a fair number of party hacks. Ralph Nader is still public enemy #1 for a lot of them.

All of this is largely beside the point now though. There's a reason we're seeing corporatist Dems with presidential ambitions like Harris and Booker following Sanders' lead by jumping on the bandwagon for things like universal healthcare and suddenly coming to the realization that corporate money is bad.

And even that's beside the point because, despite the fact that I detest Clinton and largely disagree with ltg and Baby when it comes to the party, they're on the money when it comes to the broader point about her not "accepting" the result of the election being complete crap. It's just another red herring for Trump apologists to latch onto.

Bernie was smart to run as a Democrat. He made enough to buy his third house.

It does not matter that LTG and Bmac are factually correct that prior to the election Bernie was independent and not actually a dem.

The point Hawaii You and others are making when they discuss the rigged election. That entails the Podesta, Brazille, Wasserman Schultz, DNC in general, etc actions to force the primary to Hillary. This is all known and not in dispute.

You can't say it wasn't rigged because of one of the players. The same would have been done had the primary opponent been another Dem. Biden alluded it to it in some published account last week. He did not run because the Clinton's would have killed him any way they could and he knew it.

Well, you're simply mistaken. Or were you sleeping when she refused to concede? But I understand that someone might find Trump so distasteful that they don't see anything wrong with suing him for winning.

And you look ridiculous when you make statements like this considering everything she has said and done post election. Look at the fucking title of this thread. Yeah, she actually said that.

Explain to me how you can rig an election that causes a guy to lose by 4 million votes?

I could just as easily make the argument that the media or the very undemocratic "caucus" system is rigged in a way which helps guys like Sanders who wouldn't stand a chance otherwise.

She blew him away and you (a non democrat) are essentially asking people to accept a guy that was never a Dem til he ran for President

If people are so sure that he was the best guy then he should have run as an Ind. and won that way.

The DNC didn't owe Bernie anything and he was no victim either.

It's not necessarily what he's done. It's what he hasn't done.

He hasn't started WW3 (yet).

He hasn't fucked up the economy.

He hasn't significantly had an impact on the lives of MANY people.

That's a more positive presidency than I thought he'd have so far.

It does not matter how well or efficiently they tried to rig it for Hillary. The fact they did it and there was evidence is important. Also, depending on the timing of all their actions they could have caused the 4 million deficit to build up. Lastly, I do not think Bernie could get on ballots everywhere but I am just puling that from memory.

Bernie got what he deserved. The Democrats were dumb putting no actual Democrat against her that had a chance. Her issues would have been more obvious. Then again they didn't realize it when a relatively minor politician at the time destroyed her in 2008.

The Democrats don't want to and shouldn't become Socialists. The American people don't want Socialists. That's why the Socialist party virtually doesn't exist. It's much better as a series of talking points than it is when you actually have to give everyone free college and free child care and the issues that creates.

I will add he hasn't been Hitler as we were told beginning the day after the election. He has not gathered up Jews that I know of. Quite frankly, in many ways he is not nearly as bad as the panicked left wanted everyone to believe.

I think the decreasing noise of resist is evident.

The DNC leadership was biased towards a Democrat. Why is that shocking? They owed Bernie Sanders nothing and he didn't want to win anyway. IF he did he would have easily been the Democratic nominee and I may have even liked him. If we're choosing a CFMB nominee I imagine we would be biased towards our long time members and not a guy who primarily claimed to be a member of GreenBayFanatics.com

Sanders' issues though are not the point. It was her turn no matter what. I do not believe Biden sat out of his own accord either.

I agree with that. The issue is that they were sneaky and deceitful about it. If they wanted Hillary Clinton as their nominee they could have just passed rules and anointed her rather than holding mock primaries. But they wanted the votes of Bernie supporters so they couldn't be honest.

Accepting the results is nothing. Al Gore probably has never accepted losing in 2000. Bernie didn't and still doesn't accept losing in the primary. I'm quite sure if i utlilized that crack search function of yours i'd quickly see that there wasn't one complaint from you about Bernie not accepting the results.

I'm fairly certain that you never implored him or his supporters to "get over it". Since its Hillary then its shut the fuck up.

I want her to get over it too. She is done. That still isn't the same as challenging the results. Sour grapes and a sore loser yes.

She has a case too. That is what is lost in this. There were forces working against her. I don't know that any of it cost her the election. I haven't researched it enough to say one way or another.

Sanders' issues though are not the point. It was her turn no matter what. I do not believe Biden sat out of his own accord either.

You have no problem believing in Democratic collusion but you do have a problem in believing that a Former KGB chief might be involved in collusion? Again Cool.

they're on the money when it comes to the broader point about her not "accepting" the result of the election being complete crap. It's just another red herring for Trump apologists to latch onto.

And you still can't provide one shred of evidence to support your claim that she "challenged" the results.

I never said she challenged the results. I said she refuses to accept them and her sycophants follow her lead.

Bernie endorsed Clinton. How dishonest can a person be? I'm losing interest in the discussion because you're so disingenuous. You've railed about how my statement is wrong for months. You were appalled when Trump suggested he might not accept the results if he lost. And suddenly "accepting the results is nothing." And finally, you go all in and declare that she is right in refusing to accept the results. You're really full of shit.
