As for me, I love Christmas. Give me all of it. More lights, more cookies, more parties, more eggnog, more presents, more family, more everything. It really is the most wonderful time of the year for me. My wife does an awesome job setting up our house when she puts up the tree, the Christmas Village, lights all over, and we use the fireplace more during December than any other month. I stand by my initial post in this thread. Christmas is great, always was great, and AJ makes is that much better.

If any of you don't have a place to go for Christmas Day. PM me and come to my house. Seriously. Have some lasagna and eye- talian sausage, the best homemade garlic bread you will ever have, and general riff raff. Bring an ugly ornament if you wish to participate in the grab bag.

Nobody ought to be alone for Christmas.

I dont know. My MIL makes it and it's the best homemade garlic bread I've ever had. Notice I didn't say the best I've ever had, but the best homemade I've ever had. Maybe it's that she makes it with fresh bread? I dunno, its just awesome.

Yeah. It sucks having to be polite to people you hate. Luckily for me it's only my brother in law. I'm fine with everybody else. But I think that some that I'm fine with hate me. Because I often think people hate me. I don't know if it's real or imagined. I'm paranoid. I've got a little social anxiety as well.

But the booze helps. Then I often escape everybody to play with the kids in the basement. The kids always help me on the holidays. In the summer I'm always the one pitching to them to avoid everybody. So everybody thinks I'm a great Uncle. Cuz I'm good with the kids.

That 3-person podcast you and I did with Ugie I think was really underrated. I think the golf-theme turned people off but it's a pretty smooth and funny podcast.

I liked the 3-person format.

I posted in the original thread for that podcast that the three-man weave seemed to work out quite well and I had hoped to see it employed on future podcasts.

I suppose hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies.

Love my battery operated yard equipment. No gas, no cords. One battery powers all tools, so you can get him new tools for birthday, Father’s Day, etc. I have a leaf blower and hedge trimmer. Hoping Santa brings me the weed wacker. I have EGO brand, 56 volts, available on line or Home Depot.

When my snow blower and lawn mower die, I’m going to add those as well.

It’s not necessarily original but assuming he drinks, a super-premium bottle of his favorite scotch/bourbon/whiskey is always a safe choice. Something unique that he could never justify for himself.
