I Haven't boycotted the league but I stopped following the NFL intensely years ago. Oversaturation of the product was the primary reason. I tired of the wall to wall coverage of football.

It's why I chuckle about people complaining about too much NBA coverage by B&G. For years the Score was inundated with shitty football programming and I doubt that anyone here really gave a fuck. Fantasy league talk, Bears All Access with the whispering Zach Zaidman, Pre and post shows followed by more post game. Segment upon segment of pre draft talk. "Who's your guy" Remember that?

McNeil with his mundane countdown talk. Just couldn't get enough of it. Low and behold Goff and Bernstein talk hoops and somehow the Score is doomed. Bullshit.

It's even more annoying that more than half the people demanding that you boycott don't like football and the remaining 30 or 40% were casual fans.

What ever happened to casual fan?

He went pro.

It's funny to me that the first four replies here don't seem to realize the nomination wasn't directed at them.

No one is actually boycotting football (even those who claim to be). In reality they are just watching less because the product is stale and claim they are boycotting. If the product was still good they would be watching as they used to.

I loved football growing up and want to love it again. I hope they fix the issues with quality of play and the rule changes. I want a good on field product to enjoy.

But that's not true at all, it's just you projecting.
I think we are going to discover that a lot of the people on this board that thought the product was stale actually just thought the Bears were stale because at least the last 3 years of the Cutler era was stale.

I'm still watching the Bears, but I have found myself avoiding other games for the most part. I don't think that's on Cutler and the Bears.
