the cubs winning the world series didn't impress ES. you think an eclipse will?

It impressed me and I was happy about it, but like the eclipse, to call it life changing would be stupid. I anticipated the team winning a title with all the exceptional talent they collected, but knew it wasn't going to make my life any different. The sun was still going to rise and fall the same, regardless of the outcome. But I was happy it was the more agreeable outcome.

I wouldn't really compare the two things. Eclipses happen far more frequently.

Guy who calls sports radio stations to share thoughts doesn't put a lot of emphasis on sports teams in his life....

I was playing in a golf outing on Monday at Bowes Creek and they handed out glasses to everyone to use during the eclipse if they wanted to look at it. I was far more interested in focusing on golf, having seen an eclipse before. What the hell is the big deal? The sun gets blocked for a short period of time.....whoopee.

That's because you're simple-minded and not very intelligent.

There's a certain Canaryville team about to make it 1 for their last 100

Serious question, painter steve...

Why do you absolutely insist on proving yourself to be a simple minded moron every single time you hit submit?

Can't you ever say something here or on one of your many mindless calls that's at least marginally compelling or halfway thought out?

Oh it matters to me, but I keep it in perspective. Whether my teams win or lose is not going to change much. I'll still live in the same home, drive the same vehicles, and the sun will rise and set exactly as it might if my teams lose. I still want my teams to win and have a keen interest in the games. I just enjoy the games for my entertainment and hope for a good outcome. But I probably enjoyed the 2003 season as much as I did last year. They just ended differently. 2016 had the most desirable outcome. But 2003 was a blast.

I enjoyed 2003 a lot more too.
