You guys thinking about loading up the wagon and heading out west on the Oregon Trail?

My company had a possible deal about a year ago where we could have sold a large inventory of corn burning ovens. Apparently big in rural areas. What do you know of corn burning ovens?

It hasn't been dark at 5pm since the end of January.

We have not had a single 60 degree day yet this calendar year where I am.

and now I'm in the process of building in the mid-south to enjoy the fruits of smaller government while also getting away from harsh 5 month long winters. I pretty much get to live wherever I want with my work so long as I have strong Internet and access to an airport. I'm probably to blame for the extension of winter as the cold weather just doesn't want to let go of me.

We tried but half the party died of dysentery so we had to turn back.

True. Spring and fall have dominated the past 5 years or so. I'm okay with it. I hate a bunch of snow.

Winter has been over for three weeks. Meteorological winter (ends Feb 28th) has been over for six weeks.

Spring has been terrible. This is like the second or third coldest April ever on record for the Chicago area.

Opening day tomorrow. We haven't practiced outside. I'm concerned but then I cannot imagine too many other teams have been out there either.

YES! The next couple days are looking great. I just wish they would take the rain out of the forecast for Friday and Saturday.

My daughters softball team has their first game next week and today will be first time we've practiced outside since October. Big picture, it's 12U softball, so the world isn't ending either way. Just weird playing a game when they haven't seen a flyball or a grounder in the dirt for 6 months.

If they did it wouldn't stop it from raining.

Mine is even younger so I won't be overly concerned. I doubt there will be too many rockets to the OF on opening day with kids.

I'm getting a foot of snow on Saturday... Hopefully this is the last major snowfall that I ever have to deal with.
