I've always thought the food at Hog Wild was overrated. Good, but overrated.

I have only been there a few times, but the service was exemplary each time. RPB is correct in that while it not explicitly posted, its pretty clear that their policy makes them very much a 'no loitering' type vibe in the place. That's probably part of the reason they are cash only and do not serve alcohol. If somebody was there for 90 minutes, they can expect something to be said to them. Quite frankly, if this is during a busy time for them, the people who had been there for that length of time aren't being rude to the owners of the restaurant, they are being rude to the people waiting for tables so they can sit, eat, and leave.

For context: This awesome little bbq place is unique, you stand in line to order, wait about a minute and then get walked to your table where your order is usually already waiting for you. They have multiple signs up indicating that they are a "come, eat, and move on" place because they are a small space and there is usually a line of people waiting.

So, after an hour and 45 minutes, they were asked/hinted to finish up (as I have been asked/hinted after like 30 mins when it's super busy) and they claim racism. For good measure, they made up a lie about the guy removing them using a racial slur. (I cant prove it to you, but I know people over there and there is just no way THAT guy said THAT thing)

Anyway, great food, stop in if you're in Midlothian, just don't plan to stay all night.

Now apply this same logic to other situations and people you do not know.

I always do, Chachi.

And I don't even know the guy. I just have a random unique in on this particular evening at Hog Wild.

Now you should stop assuming that anyone who has the radical belief that racism exists is a race card playing shyster.

This means nothing, and you are hardly the martyr for saying "racism exists". Quite the contrary actually.

First of all, you bolded half of a phrase, which is odd.

Secondly, the martyr term makes no sense at all.

Finally, whenever you want to debate a time I've called someone or thing racist unfairly, I am all ears.

I judge every situation on it's merit, unlike others who have a clear agenda in pushing or marginalizing racism.

That's the part that where you are declaring yourself the martyr. Looking at a situation objectively is what I would ask people to do. Others would call it marginalizing racism.

When you say that people were killed because they were "probably criminals" then that is marginalizing racism. You are providing a rationale where one doesn't exist. That isn't looking at anything objectively since you are providing what can be construed as a justifiable reason.

When you say that a person that you don't know is probably a grifter without knowing for sure then you are promoting stereotypes which serve to marginalize racism.

When you consistently minimize egregious acts perpetrated against blacks then you are marginalizing racism. There is nothing objective about that.

Here is my "weigh in". Don't know that spot and particularly don't care. If you are looking for instances where blacks inappropriately holler racism I'm not going to deny it. It happens from time to time.

I will give you an example of a racist incident that happened to me since we are talking about "I know this could never happen" in Houston less than 2 years ago. I was down there for the Bears game and I was refused entry to pool party because they said that I wasn't "properly attired". I touched on this some time ago but it needs to be reiterated for people that provide customary cover for this sort of thing. I had on linen shorts Versace T shirt and sandals (slick) for a damn pool party where most of the people were in swimwear. The first time I attempted to enter they told me it was too early (3:00 P.M) and they only allow people in at that time if they are doing bottles/tables. I knew it was some bullshit but I asked the lady a time that I could return. She said 5:00 P.M. I later returned at 5 and then the guy says that I wasn't properly attired and thus he wouldn't allow me to enter. As I am standing outside of the place (Cle') guys are entering with Jorts, Tank tops, and fucking Air Jordans on.

I asked the guy about how the guys that just walked up were allowed in and he responded that it was the way that they were "wearing" the shit that they had on. I proceeded to editorialize for a bit then I told him to give me my money back as I'd pre paid online. Initially he said that I wasn't going to be allowed in and that I wasn't going to get my money back either. I told him that either I am going in or I'm getting a refund and you can call the police if you want because I'm not going anywhere. At that point I didn't give a shit about gaining entry as it was a matter of principal for me. eventually he let me in and I walked around for less than 2 minutes and left. I didn't want to be there at that point.

That is what racism looks like. This is what blacks have had to deal with for most if not all of our lives. For the most part we cope with it and move on.

Not discounting how you were treated at all....but I gotta get my mind wrapped around this...

You rolled down to Houston for a Bears game and found a pool party online and paid online to go hang out at a pool party?

Maybe the guy was racist. I don't know. But I can tell you any number of stories where I was with a group of friends, and either was told I did not have on the right shoes to the the bar or I was told there was a line and waited there for at least an hour as VIPs like Jorr walked in like with large breasted 19-year-olds.

No I get that and I have been the recipient of the positive side of this. This was different though. If the guy had stated that they were regular patrons of the place I'd have understood a little better.

When he stated that it was the way they were wearing them I knew what time it was. JORTs and a damn tank top? There is no maybe to it. I wasn't really going to complain too loudly (part of the coping) because it wasn't really that serious. They weren't going pimp me out my bread though. It wasn't anything but a bullshit 20 spot but as I said it was the principal. When I walked in there were about 300-400 people and none of them were black. You can infer from it what you like. I know how they tried to play me.

Yep the game was in September of 16. Still hot as hell. When I go on Bears trips I really don't care for the game. Bears ain't shit. I go for the ambiance.

You are taking things out of context, and not being honest in this discussion.

1. Is about the historical practice of lynching applied to all races.

2. Is if someone of any races is using a phony coupon they are likely a grifter.

3. Saying egregious acts has been minimized is meaningless. It means we can't analyze anything beyond saying this is terrible.

Sounds like that guy was racist, but what I wanted you to know is that being denied entry to a bar crosses all racial backgrounds.

Nearly 3/4th of black people were lynched in a country in which they made up 10-15% of the population but in your opinion because you found whites that were lynched it is incorrect to state that it was perpetrated against blacks. Were the killers of whites involved in lynching ever brought to "justice"? That is the second part to this little narrative. They most surely were. Whites that killed blacks as part of lynching rarely if ever were arrested.

The mere fact that you presume that coupon is phony even after 2 employees were whacked and she actually posted says a lot. A whole lot.

You choose to marginalize by saying that it is terrible.

You are taking everything about that out of context. So it's not really really worth having a discussion. It says a lot about your arguments that you have to do this. A whole lot.

Im guessing this is the incident . Happened just like the way she says, including being called a slur in a crowded restaurant. Whats funny to look at is all the positive Yelp reviews left by black reviewers pre " incident" who somehow managed to escape there before being slurred by whitey owner and all the ones after who have never even been there.

Kelley Hayes states:
My family and I visited here today to celebrate my son leaving for school. We ordered our food at 4:50pm and spent for myself and 2 kids $47.49. My mom spent $13 and my auntie and uncle spent $40. We sat, ate and had conversations wishing my son well. During that time a tall white guy came over at 6:15pm and told us we had been there for to long. He slammed a number 55 on the table and said y'all been here for 4 hours and it's time to go. My aunt said we paid for our food and now we're talking. He said I don't care it's time to go. This is my daddy's place and you can leave. My mom asked to speak to the manager and he said he's not here. I went to speak to the manager and the table next to us said they were out done on how we were treated. The guy came with me and asked for the manager. He said i want to speak to his daddy. The young lady at the door said the guy you are complaining about is the manager. I asked why was he being so rude? She said maybe he didn't mean it that way. The other guy told us he didn't want to hear it. We could get our food and things and leave. We were niggas. If you hadn't paid for food don't pay just leave and don't come back. I have never experienced such treatment or had a racist encounter. Our money isn't even good enough to spend here. Well I feel somewhat better because on the way out, we were asked if we were ok and we explained the situation to another family so they left. We had 2 families stick by our side and leave with us. You may have gotten our money, but you sure as hell didn't get theirs you racists bastards. You have a nice day sir.

THERE IT IS!

we goin do this playa?

Sounds like that guy was racist, but what I wanted you to know is that being denied entry to a bar crosses all racial backgrounds.

When the denial is based on race then it is racist. For some reason you have difficulty with ever calling racism for what it is. In that respect you marginalize it. There was no excuse to not allow a paying customer in without justification. I asked for him to call the police and the rat bastard couldn't do it because he knew he did not have grounds.

This isn't simply an example of "all races" being denied entry to a bar. One thing is obvious. There is a knee jerk way in which you always provide rationales for obvious racist behavior. It is instinctive.

IF all races were denied then why was I the only person standing outside? 300-400 people inside and one person outside yet all races have been denied. Ok

Shocking.

Not shocking that the blithering idiot concurs either. You are turning into a parrot right before are very eyes. You are so stupid that you don't even realize that you are agreeing merely for the sake of agreeing. Nothing to add nothing to dispute nothing.

Unlike you I support the things that I say. A damn joke.

Yep the game was in September of 16. Still hot as hell. When I go on Bears trips I really don't care for the game. Bears ain't shit. I go for the ambiance.

I gotta know, did you go down there with the group organized by my guy Fletch??

Of course there is racism directed at blacks and other minorities. And that racism is horrible. There is also racism directed at whites that also is horrible. One problem is that one is always publicized and the other is somehow covered up or even justified.
