I do think the girl scout cookies at Aldi are basically the same as real girl scout cookies without the liberal agenda. Although I am a little sad that Aldi discontinued Matt's Cookies, which were sold under the Benton name.

Aldi has does have a handful of name brand products, but the prices for those typically do not match a good sale at Jewel. Since most of the Aldi stuff is store brand they don't mark the stuff up as much since there is not a name brand to compete against. At a regular grocery store they price the store brands 10 to 30 percent lower than the name brand.

Aldi ketchup is decent enough to not miss Heinz. I don't think the breakfast cereals are close to the name brand ones. The chips there are okay, but there's only one Frito-Lay because there are no generic Sun Chips.

The things to get at Aldi are dairy items such as milk, sour cream, eggs, butter, cheese, pantry items such as sugar, brown sugar, powered sugar and brownie mix and there are cheaper prices on most of the canned good items including canned fruit and canned beans.

They have renovated a lot of their stores and they are trying to position themselves as some sort of cheap version of Whole Foods because of their low cost organic items.

Basically the store probably makes the most money per square foot of any grocery store out there. They charge for bags, they use quarters to replace cart pushers and they have no more than 5 employees working at one time. The cashiers also stock, sweep and run the Zamboni. It's a lean-mean money-making machine.

Maybe, but it's 10 times as much of the gay agenda.

Gotta have Plochman's mustard. Not because of the mustard. Because of the application nozzle.

The aldi microwave popcorn is the exact same as the Boy Scouts too.

Anyone hating on aldi is choosing to do so to seem more bougie. Aldi is solid all around and their generic versions of things are better than regular chains generic versions. As close to the real deal as you can get.

they've changed. when we were kids, that place was trash. but today their cloning tech is way better. cereal, these cookies, snack chips, etc etc is on point.

walgreens Nice! brand knockoff girlscout cookies are pretty close too.

these cookies trump all girlscout cookies anyway.

Boy Scouts got me last year in a generous mood coming out of jewel. I don’t like popcorn. Threw it away after a few months of offering it to any guest I had over

my dad goes to costco and has some blockage in his brain where he is like "i don't think hnd and his wife have buttered microwaved popcorn" and buys us a big ass box of it every time. i have like 4 boxes of this crap in the pantry and we won't take it anymore. he just brings it at some random time and sticks it in the pantry. we are worried to tell him to stop it might break something in his brain.

I always found it ironic that the start of Girl Scout Cookie Sales coincided with the time most New Year's Resolutions to diet and exercise fail.

What’s sucks with their timing is the girls can’t sell until Jan 1. If they sell early they void their sales.

Would’ve nice if you could harass family in person at the holidays.

I just hate it that they stalk you in the entrances to every grocery store in the country. Can't get in or out without those goofy sadistic jerks beggin.

When my daughter was younger she did scouts for a few years. The amount of cookies consumed in this house was a bad thing. Since she quit I have a rule if the kid comes up to me to sell whatever for a fundraiser (not the ones camped in front of grocery stores but kids of aquanticies) I will buy something.
I always enjoyed the cookies for the troops option that GS had for a while.

As far as fundraising though I’d rather just give the kid cash for the organization as it was a bit alarming how little money went back. I’d imagine the school fundraisers are much the same.

The Aldi cookies are less than $2. I'm not paying an extra $3 for the liberal agenda.
