He’s right about everything he said in that video.

RIP to his wallet.

Fine no DH. Two games on consecutive days, if the higher seed wins either one, they advance. Fuck the second or third WC not getting "a fair chance." Ya want fair, win more fucking games.

Uh, you know they can just decide to schedule them if they want...
Uh, then you don't know that MLB actually can't because it's part of the CBA with the Player's Union that says MLB cannot schedule double headers unless one of the games is a makeup.

Uh, then you don't know that if MLB wants to change the playoffs it has to be negotiated as part of the CBA, so yeah, the CBA could also be amended to have the expanded playoffs contain scheduled doubleheaders for the WC round.

Jesus christ, they're not doing double headers in the playoffs. This is probably the gayest idea ever suggested.

Uh, there are long daylight hours in June. Play triple headers every Sunday. Start games at 10am, 2pm, 6pm. Then make the entire division series double headers.

Also, if a team is ahead 2-0 in the World Series, then games 3-4 are played as a double header.

The players will certainly ratify these changes!

that's like when a parent goes to punish a kid by taking away all their electronic devices for a week or whatever and when the kid gets upset at the thought of no gaming or smart phone for a week the other parent steps in and says "you made lil Conor upset. Don't worry Conor, you can keep your toys, you being upset about being punished is punishment enough"

This is just the right-thinking version of the NCAA pretending that Reggie Bush never won the Heisman or Joe Paterno never won those games, or that the Charlotte Hornets were just sleeping while New Orleans got an expansion team, or that the real home run leader is Sadaharu Oh. You can say what you want but "the major leagues" were the ones under the auspices of the Commissioner of Baseball, which the NL and AL were but the Negro Leagues were not, and that played toward determining a world champion, which the NL and AL did but the Negro Leagues did not, with all due respect to everyone involved. So we'll all pretend because it's good for business and the right thing to do, but come on.

Well put CH. I guess if it makes people happy fine because it doesn’t affect me. Just doesn’t seem to make a lot of sense stats wise. Same as if they all of the sudden decided to include Japanese baseball as far as stats.

This was another direct consequence of George Floyd. They've spent the last four years finding the statistics. Where they found them, their veracity, and how no one ever found them sooner, it's probably best to embrace the mystery.

But Rose or Bonds in Cooperstown is a bridge too far.

I can go either way on Bonds but betting on a sporting event you're involved in compromises its legitimacy on a deeper level than drugs do.

I can agree with that. But I'm not sure if there's any evidence exists that says Pete Rose actually bet on games as a player. If there is it's probably just as flimsy as as some of these Negro League stats werecounting as legit now.

And sports gambling is sponsored and encouraged by MLB now.

Evidence exists that Pete Rose actually bet on games as a manager. He admitted to it.

I don't care what Rose did as a manager. The writers are supposed to focus on his actions as a player. He was a HoF player. So was normal Bonds and steroid Bonds. Pick your favorite version of him.

I don't believe that Rose was ever even on the ballot, so it was never possible for the writers to vote for him.
