Every country in the history of the world had slaves except the ones who couldn't win wars nor stop its citizens to be taken and forced into slavery? Is anyone going to go to Italy, Spain, China, Russia, Finland, Denmark, Nigeria, South Africa, Japan, Sudan, Mexico, Cuba, Holland, Ethiopia, North and South Korea, and demand reparations also?

its amusing how many dolts in the world actually think that slavery was invented in Europe and the US.

Well, considering the dictates of the Koran and its laws to live by for all good Islamists, the descendants of every slave taken by the Islamic leaders of the 7th century and beyond should be sending a payment due to the Nation of Islam and the mullahs in Iran and the King of Saudi Arabia. among others.

What a puss.

His backtracking is shameless.

"I’m sorry I don’t mean to hurt anyone. I did not mean to offend anyone," Lemon said Friday morning. "What I said came out wrong and I wish I hadn’t said it. I believe women of any age can do anything they set their minds to. The people I am closest to in this organization are women."

Awesome. A full 180 from his statement and then a classic "I have black friends".

"When I make a mistake. I own it and I own this one as well. I understand why you are upset and disappointed," Lemon continued. "I was trying to make the point that no one’s age should define their ambition or potential for success and I was saying those comments to Nikki Haley."

You tried to make the point that no one's age should define them by saying she was too old and past her prime to run for president? Interesting strategy.

He’s burying the lede that he spends time googling when women are in their prime.

I truly enjoy when the media devours itself.

Good journalism is becoming extinct. It is a noble profession that has forgotten its mission to hold our government to account and inform the public.

Nothing that happens on regular programming on Fox or CNN or many of the others can be classified as “journalism”. It’s pure partisan entertainment disguised as “news”.

Here's what many seem to miss. Tucker Carlson isn't a journalist. But he platforms real journalists all the time. And that isn't something you see on other outlets or even other Fox shows. The typical Fox viewer isn't going to be exposed to Max Blumenthal otherwise. And CNN and MSNBC, the neoliberal flagships, certainly aren't doing it.

I have said many times the non editorial portion of the WSJ is as good as it gets. PBS also does a nice job. The NY Times does solid reporting, but I feel the left bias when I read it. The BBC stuff is usually good.

That's probably why he lost the biggest story of his career that would have taken down Biden because he put his only evidence in a UPS box and sent it across the country.

Michelle Goldberg proves the point by continuing to insist that the Hunter Biden laptop may not be authentic.

I feel like in the end you can follow the money and it will give you the real news which is why I love the WSJ.

Don Lemon is just pissy that he got promoted to a show that he had to share with two women.

I think it's funny how this thing transpired. Haley said our current politicians are "past their prime," which is really just a softer, nicer way of saying senile. (Reminds me of the Townstone mortgage commercials with people saying their credit "isn't pristine.") So then Lemon responds by saying that maybe Haley is also past her prime, which might have been okay...but then proceeds to say a woman's prime is her 20s and 30s.
