Are you going to Amarillo?

I'm going in the morning.

Everything that I've got is just what I've got on.

Did you loose the wife and the girlfriend somewhere along the way?

I ain't got a dime but what I've got is mine.

I ain't rich but Lord I'm free.

One of the great lyrics in country music.

George Strait is the man and always has been.

As an aside, I've watched that video a few times today. I hadn't heard the song in a while.

Rodeos are batshit crazy.

And, yes for those wondering, I own the digital version of Pure Country and watch it a few times per year.

I think the NCAA allows me to just Zelle them the funds now.

George Strait’s casual lack of any acting ability is mesmerizing.

Some actors are accused of only playing themselves. I don’t think he’s playing anyone if that’s even possible.

I’m watching it again.

It really is a country musical.

Three bars….three bars and nobody noticed.

Nobody could deliver that line as well.

Pretty sure we own the soundtrack to Pure Country. It is a legacy to that era in the 90s when Country music had a popular resurgence and my wife and I were doing the Boot Scootin’ Boogie on a regular basis ( )

I watched it. I heard twin fiddles and a steel guitar and I turned it up.

I also owned the soundtrack, Zippy.

You know the funny thing about that movie is George never kisses Harley.

That's an old-school country boy right there. That's disrespecting your real marriage.

Buddy still has some baby fat back then. You may want to stick with Friday Night Lights.

But, he gets a lot of screen time as a dumbass.

Just a heads-up for anybody that might be traveling this weekend, there's going to be a lot of traffic.

According to the news, the worst times will be 7am-7pm in major cities. So watch for that.

I do miss the days of "Will Fourth Of July be a super spreader event?" which was basically the same news story reused over and over again that always featured "Don't go to the beach and if you do don't put your towel with 6 feet of another person" for the summer and "If you have family over, open up all of your windows in your house and put fans in front of them to have proper airflow" which was great advice for a Midwestern Christmas.

Just a heads up that Thursday is a holiday and travel, according to the news, might be difficult on the roads all-day Wednesday and Thursday morning.

So, if you can travel at 1am, that is what is recommended.

One of the best things about COVID(besides the Myocarditis) was this type of story was put on the back burner as "Will Thanksgiving be a super spreader event? Try putting fans in your windows and turning your house into a 30 degree wind tunnel to avoid spreading COVID."

Maybe you missed it, COVID doesn't cause myocarditis. Just the vaccine.

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34042947/

2.3% of Big Ten athletes had it in 2020 and who knows how many had already recovered from it. Scary stuff indeed.

Damnit, I bumped this thread and now I'm watching Amarillo By Morning again.

That George Strait is a handsome man. And rodeos are still batshit crazy.

Journal of Clinical Medicine study of unvaccinated

5. Conclusion
Our data suggest that there is no increase in the incidence of myocarditis and pericarditis in COVID-19 recovered patients compared to uninfected matched controls.

There are several limitations on that data though as they state in the study.

Just wanted to give everyone a head's up. Lead story on the news this morning is that traffic / travel could be hectic because this is a holiday weekend.

Worst time to be on the road looks to be any time that has a minute associated with it.

Have a great holiday.

I have it on good authority that travel will be difficult today due to the holiday.

It was said that the worst time would be from 11am - 11pm....so in that brief 12-hour window, you might want to avoid traveling.
