 I figured I would place the ball on the tee and leave it for someone else to hit.

Can a guy who can't throw a baseball baseball opinions carry any weight? They should of set up a debating competition pregame on the pitchers mound. That's what Parkins was doing as a kid instead of playing baseball.

His throwing motion is bad enough that he could be a rapper.

Probably. He's talked about all of the surgeries.

I doubt he's had half as many back surgeries as me and I don't throw like a little girl.

Pretty solid effort really...I didn't think he could lift a baseball.

He didnt bounce the ball. And from what he said that was a much better effort than his first 2 times doing something similar.

I doubt any of us really realize how nerve racking being on the mound at a pro game with all those eyes on you would be.

At one time Parkins had an account here. I am sure he reads the board. Parko, would be a good time for you to chime in again.

What does pressure have to do with him throwing like a ferry?

Considering you've played hockey for about 50 years, I'm going to climb out on a limb and say you didn't have multiple surgeries as a kid. Therefore, you were able to learn how to throw and even catch like a "normal" child. Back issues as an older man probably doesn't change your throwing motion too much.

I am just surprised with that motion and all the pressure that he didnt bounce the ball.

He had about 55ft to make and I’d wager it covered about 40 of those feet in the air.

He needs to learn how to throw like a man, he's doing that shot put/Lamar Javelin thing, obviously rich daddy never taught him at a young age, very sad.

He has always said he doesn't really care for baseball. Now we know why.

That's like a top 25% first pitch in terms of accuracy.

We should all film ourselves throwing a pitch and then grade each others performance.

Parkins on transition made no apologies for not throwing a baseball well. Avoided the most likely never being able to throw one but rationalized other people throw baseballs more often. Said he'd have a better showing shooting 3s, or swimming races. Even brought up he's caught a shark. Mitch Rosen had to be involved in not admitting he simply can't throw a baseball properly that it'd be a bad look for the station. Very awkward transition indeed. The video doesn't lie.

Bachelor party trip to Mexico. Bernstein of course a shark expert warned against eating it. Too late. Parkins said they ate it. How could he reel in a shark with all his back problems even if it's high tech fishing?

Did they say how big the shark was? I caught a shark when I was like 8 years old. It was not very big

I heard them talking about the pitch on the show. They were making fun of him and he took it in stride. It was actually a bit amusing.
