Clearly, Brown needs some sage advice from an experienced media pro in his reaction to being suspended. I think that he lost some opportunities to advance his career by cowtowing to the ownership after their stupid action against him. He didn't need to be a loudmouth and whiner but he should have stood his ground against the O's management. Bowing down like he did was not smart. I just think that he lost some respect of people who supported him right after his suspension occurred..

I don't disagree that he would've been better off saying nothing and pretending the whole thing never happened, especially because he had so many other broadcasters saying probably exactly what he wanted to say, but having to bend the knee is kind of the trade-off you make when you become that kind of enhancing talent instead of the talent on the marquee.
