I agree Ugie. Its one thing to post about your kid from time to time, obviously they are a big part of your life. It's another to post "Baby said mama, dadda, and baba today! She is growing up so fast" and then the next day post about how she ate cherrios.

Post about the vacation, play at school, their tball game or whatever. But I don't need (or care) to hear about how many diapers they went thru every day.

What if it was just an insane number of diapers....like 100 +?

They dont have to be boring people for that to be true though.


Some people's lives are taken up by their kids and FB is their only social outlet.

I don't care if people post about their own lives. That's not what this DB nomination is about. I'm just tired of people "liking" or "sharing" all the lame photos or posts that belong to just some random person or group. That's pretty much all I see in my feed now is that garbage.

a few years back i used to have a beer vendor at comiskey.... LF corner of the upper deck. i met him while smoking a oney / cigarette on the ramps.... he obliged and said i was cool and that i should seek him out whenever i'm at games.

whenever i gave him a $10 for a MGD, he would give me change like i gave him a $20, so i'd tip him the change and keep the $10 and keep drinking au gratis while he was making $2-4/beer (cuz eventually you'd have to give him a nice $4 tip by the 2nd-4th beers, you know?) it was grand. it was for only the 07/08 season or whatever it was.

There is an arrow on the top right of each post...clicking this gives you subscription options...click unsubscribe. You will still be "Friends" with them but you won't see all that crap anymore.

I did already. Seriously I kind of agree with him in a way. I have FB friends (men and women) who are some of the worst parents on the planet. They may go weeks or months without seeing their kid(s) (even though they live in the same city) but when they finally get around to seeing them they post pictures (some they didn't even take) like they're the greatest parent on earth. Everyone that doesn't know them of course like the pictures and comment about how great of a parent they are.

I very rarely post anything but I understand how people feel. I think once you and your fiance have kids you'll get a better idea of how they feel.

I believe I was the original force behind this kind of criticism of facebook on the board. All it is now is people liking or sharing other shit. Almost everything I see in my feed is non-original garbage. If someone wants to post their own photos or statuses that's great, but I don't need to see that "so and so" likes Wal-Mart or someone Shared some lame ass photo I have seen over 15 times now.
