Isn't a comment prefaced by "I think" regarded as an opinion rather than a fact?

What FavreFan is saying is that certain statements are so obviously factual, they should not be prefaced with "I think."

Example: "I think ketchup is red." That's not an opinion. It is a fact. So the sentence should simply be, "Ketchup is red."

Except that no one (ok, other than blind people DT) would say anything differently about ketchup. There are probably people who think Harden is overrated. Further, what does "one of the best" mean? Top 5? Top 10?

You can debate where he's rated. Saying he's one of the best young players in the league isnt really debatable. Of course he is.

I'm sure people think he is overrated.

Did anyone think he was going to be as good as he was in 1984?

I did.

Kind of like, "Mully & Hanley are fucking terrible"

There really isn't anything that bad in that thread. Carmelo is having a great year, but I'm not changing my mind on him until he can get out of the first round. That team still isn't very good.

Doesn't Boers claim to know everything Jordan was doing off the court during those days, but never actually reported anything about it? I thought he had some reason behind not reporting what he knew (perhaps being a beat guy and covering the team would have made his day to day job harder if he was reporting dirt on Jordan?), not that I actually think he knew anything at the time.

Green tomatos make green ketchup. White FarveFan makes incorrect statements.

Would you say I have a plethora of pinatas?

At least Sam Smith saved the shit he held back for his book. Maybe one day Terry will finish his.
