Uh, yes. Maybe not step down but he needs to be accountable. Unless you feel the rules of workplace conduct do not apply to everyone. If minimum wage workers and their underpaid managers are barred from making racially disparaging comments at work why shouldn't senators be, too?
Plus supposedly he is smart. He should know better.
