I've got some stuff to take care of but these certainly won't be 'full days.' May take Wednesday off.

The entire week is a paid holiday for my company.

I'm up for it! I have two to three hours of required annual training to complete Tuesday, but I am on vacation all this week! Rolling through town on our way to Milwaukee on New Years morning, we can set something up for over the border... calling Hogger!! et al.

Maybe we could swing by for the public tour of the Kenilworth mansion and grounds for a whiff of the smoker.

Ah, forget it, I'll just try to steal a case of beer from Binny's.

So does DiCaro.

Case closed.

If you've never used a snooze button before, you're missing out. It's great.

Denied. It's voluntary.

This is a relationship issue for Lipid, not a technology issue.

Yup... that's what my guy says too.

It sounds like he wants to nominate his significant other, but he's too nice a guy, so he's throwing the snooze button under the bus. Not cool.

This thing shoots the 3 pieces around the room, and the alarm won't shut off until all 3 are replaced.
Buy her this. She will get up and go to work.

The downside is when the plastic pieces hit you in the forehead while you are trying to sleep.

I missed this thread last year but I'm on team Lipid. An extra 9 minutes of half-assed sleep is fucking pointless. Set your alarm 9 minutes later and enjoy those fleeting moments of sleep.

No one wants to get up when the alarm goes off... you do it because there is a reason that you need to be up at that specific time. Get the hell out of bed and move on with your day.

I don't use an alarm clock. I just wake up at pretty much the same time every day. And if I didn't, a hungry dog or a screaming toddler would get the job done anyway.

I'm similar. My snooze button is me waking up 20 minutes before my alarm is supposed to go off and deciding that I don't want to get up quite yet. The alarm is the point of no return. If I'm not out of bed when it goes off, I'm going to be late for work.

Be careful that body alarm clock almost keep someone from running a marathon.

Did I ever tell you about the alarm clock matches Malone gave me for Christmas one year? He claimed it was the best on the market so I set it for 8 a.m. two days later. At 7:59 I hear this horrible screeching noise and out pops this ninja out of the alarm clock. He takes out a samurai sword, cuts my comforter into teeny pieces, then he picks up a glass from the windowsill throws it at my face and yells, "Yippee kai yay it's time to wake up!" So I stumble out of bed, bleeding and groggy, and then my cell phone rings. It's Matches on the other end, and all I hear is him laughing.

Have to have it. Unstable sleep schedule due to travel almost every week, apnea that is finally kinda under control, and other health issues which make me really difficult to wake up.

I found an app for my phone with a customizable snooze, and it is fantastic. I have it set to go off for 17, 12, 7 then 2 minutes. After that it goes off every minute, which is sufficiently fucking annoying to get me awake. Have to solve three arithmetic problems (like 73-36) to turn it off.

So tomorrow my alarm is set for 4:36 and i will be up by 5:10.

I understand the concept but just get the fuck up when the first alarm goes off. Who can sleep that deeply anyway? If you can salute to you.

Do you have a significant other who is trying to sleep through all that? Are they a deep sleeper? If not, how do they handle it?

I deal with this shit maybe 4-5 times the week between Christmas and NYE and once or twice during the year and it's driving me nuts. If I had to do it every day I'd be turning a spare bedroom into a permanent bedroom.

When my girlfriend is around, she is a very early riser so she's already awake.
