Maybe my earlier post was missed. Why are clear backpacks a terrible idea? I posted before than many stadium security policies now require only clear bags. And if you do not have one they give you a cheap free one.

How large is the backpack going to be?
When's the last time you carried textbooks? Will they be able to handle the size/weight?
Are the backpacks going to be comfortable to wear?
Are teachers/security guards going to be walking around the classrooms/hallways checking through backpacks?
Do I have to open my backpack because they may have saw something throught the clear plastic?

You're trying to flip an earlier post on mine but if you just need to take a step back and breathe instead of being overly sensitive. It's sounds cold but most Americans really don't give a shit about gun violence/deaths. The majority aren't affected by gun violence so they don't care.

Yeah this could be a big thing. You know when all this sort of talk and silencing opponents happened in schools and on college campuses it was cute. Oh lookie there. The kids are stretching their legs and being part of the system blah blah blah.

As it seeps into the real world now it should get exciting. It might take a while but real people are going to push back and say no I will not be silenced and you will listen to my side too. I will not be marginalized and a nazi or similar bad guy.

You aren't willing to give up your right to privacy (the contents of your back pack) even if it saves a few lives. It's not an unreasonable position at all.
