Pretty heavy duty version of newspaper mulch gardening there.

That you know of. Who controls CHAZ news? They weren't real happy with some guy spray painting a building. I don't know what happened to him.

I'd bet dollars to donuts there have been sexual assaults over the past few days.

What's the point of having power if you can't use it to hurt your enemies?

somebody recorded the whole thing (minus the bit where whitey mcartist got whooped, ofc) and time-stamped a bunch of quotes/points in the description.

And yeah, I also saw an article saying sexual assault claims were the downfall of OWS and it'll be the downfall of this too. One way or another, at some point the "hard left" will invariably fuck or eat each other to death.

Who is really playing a character here? You claim interest in seeing how this plays out, but you obviously don't really think it will play out any other way than some government authority eliminating its existence.

I doubt anyone in Copenhagen in the early 70s thought Freetown would exist 50 years later.

I think you’re player a character, at least to a degree, as I said. We both claim observational status on the most part but your characterization of the protestors and how that’s changed from two weeks ago to now informed my previous post.

Reality shows suck but we could get some solid pandemic/civil unrest related movies/shows out of all this

I don't really mean that. I don't think this is going to go well. They might all lose interest and go home but it has the chance of getting ugly. I wouldn't want to be there.

I think you're making the mistake of judging "the protesters" as a group or a monolith. There are all kinds of people protesting everywhere. Some of them have good intentions. Some don't. Some don't even know what they're protesting. Some aren't protesting at all, they're just grabbing as many Nikes and Vuitton bags as they can. Some hate the USA. Some don't understand the difference between black lives matter and Black Lives Matter. Some are vandalizing statues of abolitionsits. Some have turned Christopher Columbus into an evil cartoon character.

And I'm a lot more open to abolishing police presence on the streets than most. I just don't think replacing it with the likes of Raz Simone is a viable option.

I think there's a lot of hope that they will be.

They are handling the election to Trump. "Defund the Police" is going to haunt Biden and he isn't even for it.

That's possible. I'm not entirely convinced though. And who knows what is going to happen in the next five months. That's like five lifetimes in today's political climate.

I've been there when I was in college. What a shithole. Not a charming or particularly creative community. It seemed like it was more a commune of people who wanted a free market to buy, sell and consume drugs in without harassment

There are so many dumb assed acronyms being tossed around here I've tended to stop caring to bother.

And I can only stomach so much news, business and "sports" programming over the last two months +.

It's healthy to unplug.

I've watched too much of the news shows over the past three months, liberal, conservative and cub biased and I can tell you it causes more brain rot then any kind of gaming or heavy metal music. You wonder sometimes how any of these people were plucked from obscurity and given national shows but then you realize that in normal times they are broadcasting to crickets

It's highly unlikely MANY of them will ever vote for Biden or ever vote. They're already sharing his "history of protecting cops". I'm not sure Biden will be penalized by suburban moms for "Defund the Police". Plus, it would be hard for even Trump of make the case that Biden wants a defund the police and he's responsible for mass incarceration.

"Handing the election to Trump" is code for "People are suggesting things that will upset the status quo."
