Might have to wait on that one. Struggling after his move to AA.

.192 in 170ABs so far. Far cry from his 100R/100RBI season last year. He'll turn it around.

Might fare better if he spent more time in the cage, instead of at the kitchen table listening to another one of dad's yarns.

You do sound very Bernsteinish on the issue, CH. Not everyone is so jaded about their high school experience. I loved HS. I loved college. I don't attend games in my home town anymore. Living four hours away makes that kind of tough. But I certainly don't begrudge anyone for choosing to do so.

You could have loved HS, but to bring out the flag and banner from HS, turn around to the crowd, pointing at it.

OK, we get it. The guy pitching and who blew a 5 run lead is from your school. Great! Congrats!

There was people videotaping "The crowd" when he was coming in from the bullpen. But, HE PLAYS FOR THE NATS, Nobody was cheering!

If it was my brother, son, etc I would be as proud as possible. I would wear his jersey, stand and clap. Not sure I would be clapping after he gave up the 4th run and 4th hit though. If it was a friend of mine from 10 years ago in HS, I would applaude, but not busting out the NT Banner, Flag, my old baseball jacket, etc.

I happen to think waiving a white flag at the crowd after the Cubs win is just as stupid.

Who cares?

Ha, Ha...loser

The pep band at my school wore shirts that said "Pep Banned". Man, were they edgy.

I was on the speech team. That's all I got to say 'bout that.

The team did include a guy who appeared in some big music video as a violinist and a guy who seems to be NPRs go to guy for all things business related in China. Wild group.

by the way, I'm loving these genesis stories of board members. It's interesting to see the different backrounds. Dr. Ken can attest I would never use it as the basis of a joke.

Well then, what fun is all that?

I'll make no such attestation.

I absolutely detested all the jocks and the athletic coaches from high school. I hope they are all in prison fondling eachother.

That's true.

I was just theorizing. I grew up in Kenilworth sleeping on pillows filled with money every night.

Unless the pillows were filled with fresh money every night, you were still living in a hell of some sort.

Well put, Ken. It's weird to some (Dan Berstein argument), but for small, rural towns, that's their way of life. That's what you do on a Friday night. I don't see anything wrong with that.

is it before or after the pig races and the watermelon seed spitting contests ?

now we know the real reason your neighbors complained about you.
