Obviously, shakes is close to the situation and I assume he knows a lot about it. But for me as a guy just reading the story, there are more questions than answers. You're telling me that one kid had a mother who worked at the school and that kid got bullied in spite of his mother's daily presence? That seems odd. Also, and spanky alluded to this, but do we really know the timeline of the firing? It seems hard to believe that in this day and age of skittish HR departments that in my experience are frightened to fire anyone without meeting after meeting, this school district made the choice to terminate a women moments after she filed suit against them. As if someone with SPHR after his or her name wasn't well aware that it would, at the very least, look like retaliation.

Look at JORR siding with management again.

 I'm not siding with management. I just can't believe they would be that dumb. I would think the conversation should have gone like this: "Oh great! We can't fire that bitch now after she's filed suit against us."

I don't see what sabremetrics has to do with this story ...

Shakes....there's no proof of anything at this point.
On either side.
That's one of my main points.

That's the thing, there is proof. I have first hand knowledge of it. The bullying happened exactly as it was alleged. If you think I'm lying so be it. No one at the school has denied that his happened, nor do I expect them to.

So you personally witnessed the kid being beaten on several occasions?

She was fired the day after filing the lawsuit and it was done in writing so there's a dated letter to prove it.

I love how you guys are doubting this story just because it seems so idiotic that the school would act like this. Hate to break it to you, but sometimes people do really stupid things. This is one of those times. Firing her the day after the lawsuit is just another example of the idiocy that goes on at this school.

There is some important detail missing from all this. Something about the bully or his family or their connection to the school maybe.

Or maybe the victim's mother and the bully had some interaction.

This makes no sense as presented

This is kinda what I was getting at without saying it.

Not to mention she is suing the school because the employees didn't do anything to stop what she thought was going on.
While she was an employee. Is she sorta suing herself also?

Unless I'm wrong - doesn't "first hand" knowledge of something mean you witnessed it??
