Great coaching job by Harbaugh yesterday. Maybe he should've been focusing on getting his team ready for Seattle instead obsessing over Clay Matthews. What a clown.

One of the most talented pass-rushers in the NFL continues to have problems with all the stuff that isn’t football.

According to Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com, 49ers outside linebacker Aldon Smith was arrested at 7 a.m. this morning on suspicion of DUI, according to the San Jose Police.

Another alcohol issue for the 49ers. Eager to hear how Harbaugh defends Smith.

It sucks when you have to get up at 4:00a.m. to get your drink on.

Big hit to the Niners. If a Seahawk gets a DUI, the Bears' two only real competitors in the NFC will be battling uphill.

At every level of every team sport, a double standard applies.

Excuses are made for star players who get in trouble. Examples are made of marginal players who do.

The latest example of a guy for whom a team will look the other way comes from San Francisco, where there’s no way the 49ers will take action against linebacker Aldon Smith, even if he was allegedly drunk behind the wheel of a car and in possession of marijuana at 7:00 a.m. on a work day.

“That’s pretty exclusive to the league, well it is,” coach Jim Harbaugh said regarding whether the team would discipline Smith. “They have exclusive rights to the consequences and there will be consequences. There always is. Good or bad, we all have consequences.”

Guy blew a .15 and police found marijuana in his car. I see Harbaugh takes the "la la la la" approach. Funny how Harbaugh selectively crows about the "right way" and such. Gutless.

I'm a big Harbaugh fan, but I gotta be honest...he missed on this one. He should have sat Aldon this week. I'm disappointed in my guy Jim.

You tell 'em, Kirkwood.

Pepper Burruss would've breathalyzed his ass himself, which would've registered a 3.14 and the Packers organization would've sent him to rehab for the rest of the year.

THAT'S the way you do it!!

I don't need to read this thread. I despise all the Harbaughs. Even the pathetic father whose life is so void of any meaning he has to analyze the game tape of his sons' teams and send his notes along.

So being deeply involved in your son's lives, at their request I might add, is really a bad thing?

They are both at the pinnacle of their profession with the help of their dad. How can one find that to be devoid of meaning?

In the first half yesterday I wondered why he did that? Why not just wear a puffy coat. I think he relented before the game was over.
