That's stupid. He's 1-11 in his last 14 starts and has 4 of the Sox losses this season. You cut your losses rather than continuing to allow him to maintain a roster spot that another player could fill and be of greater value to the team. I hope the Sox are stupid enough to keep him around because of his high salary though, as I like to see them lose and Danks helps tremendously with that.

That's something.
Lets hope Kenny, Hahn, et al have enough self awareness to know that they have a pretty damn good baseball team, but Danks gives them almost no chance at winning every time he takes the mound. Lets hope they are aware enough to do something about it....like today. If he gets another start for this team (barring an injury to a SP) its a fucking travesty and a slap in the face to their fans.

And yes, I realize this is coming from Beardown, but still...

Danks is single handedly keeping the Cubs and Sox together in ERA. Currently sitting 2.55 to 2.56. God damn winning baseball makes for a good summer.

there was a time when John Danks was good. We are so beyond that. I agree with Frank....you cannot let him start another game. No one will trade for him and he is completely ineffective. He needs to be DFA'd and make his money while pitching in Charlotte.
